Prince surprised everyone by showing up at a local radio station this morning. The interview was not as in depth as WBLS. Prince seemed very annoyed at Live Nation stating that he's having sound problems at Izod Center. His parting comments to his fans was not to worry if they have to cancel a show, they will be back to make up any dates. What radio station is he gonna hit next?

Prince doing a tour or playing a series of gigs without some sort of cancel/postponement drama is like having strawberries without cream.

As this was a total surprise I dont know if anyone will have a link to the interview, so here is a quick recap of what went down. Interview started with how tired he was from rehearsing for the upcoming shows. DJ asked him how rehearsals were going and he stated last night was tough because he is having sound issues. DJ asked what kind of issues and Prince said "did you hear my guitar at the superbowl"? This is the point where he sounded very annoyed at Live Nation emphasizing the "Live" in their name. They spoke about some of his favorite songs to play as well as songs of other artists he wrote for. In particular talking about Stand Back by Stevie Nicks and told the story of how he came to work on that song. Before a break DJ asked him to say 1035 KTU and he said "I need something in order to do that". DJ laughed and said "I can give you 5 bucks" Prince laughed and said I dont need none of that "I just need a cup of coffee". For the record, Prince never said 1035 KTU. After the break he asked him a few questions about his songs and what's in store for the upcoming shows. Prince said it will be a different show every night with many great artists performing with him. The DJ asked him if he had any closing thoughts. Prince said he hopes to get all the issues worked out and wanted to let his fans know that if he must cancel a show, he will be back to make up any dates.

i predicted (okay after 2 surprises it was not that much of a prediction) this last week. that he would be making surprise appearances. and there will be more too!

Well, it's not unusual that when an artist is in town they make rounds to radio/tv stations to promote their shows. So really that's to be expected.

Yes. He did this during the Musicology tour. Radio/tv appearances to promote it.

No, they don't have a link on the 103.5 website of the interview; just an advertisement of the contest they've been having for listeners to win tix for the W2A tour.
