As this was a total surprise I dont know if anyone will have a link to the interview, so here is a quick recap of what went down. Interview started with how tired he was from rehearsing for the upcoming shows. DJ asked him how rehearsals were going and he stated last night was tough because he is having sound issues. DJ asked what kind of issues and Prince said "did you hear my guitar at the superbowl"? This is the point where he sounded very annoyed at Live Nation emphasizing the "Live" in their name. They spoke about some of his favorite songs to play as well as songs of other artists he wrote for. In particular talking about Stand Back by Stevie Nicks and told the story of how he came to work on that song. Before a break DJ asked him to say 1035 KTU and he said "I need something in order to do that". DJ laughed and said "I can give you 5 bucks" Prince laughed and said I dont need none of that "I just need a cup of coffee". For the record, Prince never said 1035 KTU. After the break he asked him a few questions about his songs and what's in store for the upcoming shows. Prince said it will be a different show every night with many great artists performing with him. The DJ asked him if he had any closing thoughts. Prince said he hopes to get all the issues worked out and wanted to let his fans know that if he must cancel a show, he will be back to make up any dates.

What in the world is he talking about? I have gone to a million shows and very few of them have bad sound. Why can't he just admit that he has hired some wack soundmen?

just checked ticketmaster and still great seats available even after they collasped the 14th show in to the 15th....although i'm looking forward to seeing him on Wed and Fri i think at the very least the 15th show is

oh he better not pull that shit! that comment is starting to bug me. i wanna call izod to make sure its still on that morning. i already showed up for a show and the band didn't show up and it was a huge riot. it took me years before i stopped giving the finger to the radio whenever GUNS N ROSES came on. they were ripping up seats from upper levels!!!

i got a room booked for wedensday night. i was reading the confirmation email just now that i'd have to cancel by 6pm......

A lot of people who originally picked the 14th either:

- already HAD tix for the 15th and didn't need another set

- chose Tuesday for a reason and couldn't go on Wed, so ended up having to get their money back or try for Jan.

** People who call themselves "real fans" forget that there are people who just LIKE Prince and aren't willing to rearrange their lives/schedules or drop that kind of money just to see him.

I repeat: THE IZOD DATES ARE ON WEEK NIGHTS, THE WEEK BEFORE CHRISTMAS.

I don't want those shows to fail... as it stands right now i'm going to see him 3 times this week

and i'm ready to travel... shit it's less than a 30 min ride from the Port Authority... I'm just concerned about what he said at the end of that interview... I was having a lil fun because i knew you were gonna come after me.

my mom is a virgo. and she is a OCD perfectionist. the way he was talking about sound not being right....

when i saw the deftones with korn is was set up so bad you couldn't even tell what song they were playing. and i'd say 2 of the 10 times i seen then did they ever have jon's vocals loud enough...it was the 2 times since head left the band. i'm convinced he had his guitar set way too loud!!

Agreed. He actually talked about challenges with upcoming shows (production wise), the possibilities of an album, and showcased his humor.

The Egypt interview didn't even give the dates for the shows... and was about her wanting to kiss his poster. Cute but not informative.

what cracked me up about the wbls interview was how she kept misplacing the dates lawd
