I think you're being too literal. 'Welcome to America' could simply mean the bands/artists are a reflection of what America is/has become. The music is a celebration of that. So I think this is probably going to make it 'politcally neutral' - or as neutral as you can be with a mainly ethnic line up.

The thread title is misleading, this isn't a tour, it's a showcase. My feeling is that people are going to be sorely disappointed if they think they're gonna get even close to 60 minutes of Prince a night. I think he's going to be gracious and let the other artists have the spotlight.

If you don't want to be disappointed, think of the stellar line ups sans Prince. That way when he does appear it will be a bonus.

what? u think this is gonna be like rave un2 the year 2000? oh hell no all these 2.5 hour European shows!!

P is one of a few artists that u cant really count out. its a his and miss with him. however, his track record in pulling in the numbers and $ on the road speak clearly.

i do think that his failure to have effective promotions and a sick tune or 3, even mildly riding the radio waves, will prevent W2A to reach its potential.

IMO....the new MJ cd along with all the hype....will lead attention away from W2A. As a P fan I have to say I am a little more interested in MJ's new project, the riff Sony is having with his mom and the authenticity of some of the songs on the CD along with the Cirque du Soleil shows.......thinking thats where my money is gonna go.
