Can't stand the horrible casio VL-tone style drum sounds on this track. Totally ruins it for me. However, I loved the reworked drums and bass on the Mavis Staples version (just a shame her version isn't full length). Pity that Prince's version didn't have those drums instead, I'd probably really love it then.

call People magazine! rolling Stone!
I love this song, the arrangement and instrument choices are very quirky i think, love the steel drum sound he uses because it seems like such an unlikley tone to use but sounds great.
The "shall the chords sing together? in every mans life there will be a hang-up" part is so cheesy though

Positivity probably is a track that best represents Lovesexy, perfectly layered, with an almost free form kind of feel, and I just love how the melody is pefect for it to go on. One of my feel good songs, even if it doesn't hit you like that immemdiately. Genius stuff At this point in history, we have a choice to make

I think this may be his most underrated song.
It deserves much. Its rarely mentioned when Lovesexy comes up. Its treated like Anna Stesia's step-cousin. That cadence of the "call People magazine..." is classic in itself.
And the way you can hear Prince seemingly recordedright at the mic in the whole song itself is badazz.
