04 - Sticky Like Glue (It's a Sticky. That's Funny...) Discuss Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

Yeah, the rap is silly. But the tune is catchy. It sounds nothing like Dorothy Parker (and the lyrics aren't nearly as good), but has that kind of cheeky vibe to it (at least, to my ear). He's saying, "I have no idea what we're doing together or why it works, but I gotta have you." Who hasn't felt like that? We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Has that "Wonderful Ass" flavor! I like it.

It was cool until that rap. I like the vamp BUT the song was probably hinting that this album wasn't gonna be the "full return" of the Purple One.

Groovy... fun tune... might get some airplay. SHOULD get some airplay.
Maybe the most radio-friendly song on the CD.
It would be nice if this song was recognized on top 40 radio stations.
Cool cut!
But yeah... the rap is a little... dare I say... sticky! lol The public is squeezin' you kiddo. You'd better kick ass on your next album or else!

Has anyone figured out the lyrics? What is your main problem?
To whom it may concern: I love you! Humankind..be both.

omg that intro reminded me of old skool Prince
This is really good, I like when he does different stuff with his vocals.
@ the rap but it reminds me of Sexy MF.

I have to admit though this song is growing on me now. I can get besides the rap. The ending is so cool.

This is so funky it's disgusting. Holy shit. The rap is embarrassing but hey. It's saved by the funk. DAMN!

The 1st listen, I didn't care for it. I'm on my 2nd listen and I'm digging it. It's growing on me. I'm hearing the funk that I didn't hear the 1st time. This is looking very promising for me. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

The rap is a real mistake. The end is really funky! More of this!
It's interesting to hear this, cuz I feel like for all his retro backtracking, he hasn't really stepped so far back (debut and sophomore album territory).
Probably the strongest song on the album for me, but that's not saying much.

My favourite on the first listen.

Probably one of the weaker tracks on the album, I don't like any of this slow r&b stuff. I love the high energy songs.

I could've fully enjoyed it WITHOUT the rap. It's OK. I hear the funk though.

The Dorothy Parker Chh Chh Chh and falsetto is back! Yes. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Kinda reminded me of MJ....a complex cool song gotta listen again The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.

The intro had me thinking of those slightly off kilter "classic" Prince outtakes from the mid-80's. At first blush, though, I'm not entirely sure I like the song. In the 80's it probably would have remained an outtake.

oooh... I love this! | |

If this song leaked and was labeled as an outtake from 20+ years ago, people would believe it. This is the kind of funky, messy, sweaty kind of song that he hasn't produced in quite some time.
Very nice. | |
