i just went to belgium to pick up a hard copy and driving home, this was indeed the best one to listen to in the car, driving, windows down. bliss.
act of god sounded very cool too, whilst driving. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Yeah I thought it's a driving track. Damn good point on "Act of God" I didn't think of it but you can drive to that one too lol

didn't prince previes "mplsound" to several journalists whilst driving in his car? i can remember hmi saying that it was a real 'driving music' kind of disc. i can see where he's coming from. but there's nothing on mplsound that sounds as good whilst driving as "beginning endlessly". and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

He probably did. I barely heard songs on MPLSound but nothing on it said "I can drive to it" lol

The instrumental is cool, his lyrics/vocals don't always improve on the beats these days.

Man if he put the song out as an instrumental I would definitely repeat it. I love the music in it.

No over analyzing here, or trying to figure out what it sounds like from the past. Just an awesome tune.

This has to be my biggest dissapointment on the album. The music is incredible, when the intro kicks in I thought "awesome"... then the vocals start! Ouch! Strip it down man... you don't to fill every gap with bad, forced lyrics.

I've heard Beginning Endlessley, and i think i'ts the most exciting Prince Track I've heard since Dolphin..nay, Digital Garden maybe....
Pure Purple. It's got all the classic ingrediants of classic Prince. An incredibly weird Synth which burrows into your head, and then stops, starts and get's even better as it go's... The last minute or two with the girls doin the backing" ahhh ah ah...and P going "No No No " made it for me. I think he really thought about this one.
As far as the record go's, I love Act Of God, Lavaux, Future Soul Song( an absoulute killer ballad, My favorite since Adore. I hate most of his over produced ballads.. Damn U, ...ah Fuck any 90's ones. Did i say 90's ones...
I've just remembered I Love You, But I Just Don't Trust You Anymore...... That was fuckin great.
I'll Get Me Coat!!! (Grabs coat, takes it off and fucks off to bed.)

Here is Prince in funky quirk mode playing with beats and syncopation in a way that hooks you in from the first bar and won't let go til he is done with you. It's hard not to hark back to previous songs that made me feel this way - like Elephants and Flowers - which isn't meant to suggest repeating but rather a return to form.
What hits me again is how Prince can have very sparse arrangements yet still for a lush melody to wind its way through the track. With a less is more approach he proves that over production isn't necessary when you have funk foundations such as these. The guitar groove that hits at the 3.45 mark is like a welcomed friend who takes your hand and says come check out what's over this bridge - lush layerings of backing vocals that surround you in warmth. "I'm not human I'm a dove, I'm ur conscience. I am love"

Whoever said this song reminded them of Magnificent, thanks! That must be what was driving me crazy...
The vibe and structure also reminds me of Right Back Here In My Arms.
I think this is one of the better tracks on the disc but it doesn't really get going until over half-way through. I rather wish the track was like that all the way through.

He probably would but if you heard what Kevin Smith said what he heard he did with the videos, chances are we won't ever get to see them.

Honestly why should he, no one is gonna play them. This track is probably to me at least, his best riff in eons, its been so long since Prince has had something memorable in terms of riff or keyboard line, i mean this song alone is worth the price of the cd if it makes it to the USA. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F
