It looks like the Superbowl Press conference where he performed a few songs including "Anotherloverholenyohead/Rock Lobster", "Get On The Boat", and a couple others. |

Yeah, but they sure were a boring crowd. NO one got up and did much of anything, despite Prince trying to get them going. They were so set on wearing their press badges, that they couldn't have any fun. I felt sorry for them actually. You have fucking PRINCE in front of you with a full band doing his thing for 10 or 12 minutes, and you're just gonna SIT there on your fat ass? Pffft.
The show was better than the Superbowl show, I think. |

He performed 3 songs, not a couple of others.
The setlist was:
Johnny B Good
Anotherloverholenyohead/Rock Lobster
Get On The Boat

It is odd to watch them, but they aren't there to be fans of Prince or be cheerleaders. They are there to report. In fact, had they gotten up and started dancing or cheering, they might have lost their jobs. They were a well trained group of reporters, even if its only for sports, in that they didn't allow themselves to be "rooting" for a story they're supposed to cover. "does my cock look fat in these jeans?" |

Not totally agreeing with that. They're still people. Journalists obviously show their favoritism in covers music events. Nelson George is a great example of that fandom bleeding into the work. I just think they were a bunch of boring oafs. |

Nelson George is other things than a reporter. He's a critic and a commentator. The guys at that performance weren't there to attend a Prince concert, they were there to cover a press conference, and probably not by choice. They got a better gig that day than they usually do, but they're still there to do their jobs, not root for Prince or give an appraisal on the event (the Super Bowl) that they're covering. Yes. That's the only time I've seen him wear that outfit, and Shelby has on the same clothing as well. Other telling signs - the 3121 tambourine, The Twinz being there, the horn players, his hair, etc etc.
It's the Superbowl Press Conference. |

Look again. She's hanging onto him. He's providing leverage, but she's doing the work of holding on. |
