Let's see...

The only track I knoe for certain is about Susan Moonsie is When Doves Cry.

Susannah has a ton:

The Beautiful Ones

Condition of the Heart

-The entire The Family CD (except for Mutiny=Morris Day?)

New Position

Life Can Be So Nice

Anotherloverholenyohead

It

Forever In My Life

If I Was Your Girlfriend

Adore

When 2 R In Love

I think there's more but those are the ones off the top of my head.

As for Old Friends 4 Sale:

I always hear/read folks saying that the "two friends of mine got stuck in the snow" line refers to Jimmy and Terry and the missed show on the 1999 tour. I always thought it was a metaphor for cocaine as the following line says as much.

The two friends? Take your pick: Chick. Morris, Vanity, whoever.

"When 2 R In Love" is unlikely to have been written about Susannah as they were long broken up by then.

Other songs about Susannah:

Go

Splash

Big Tall Wall

Anna Fantastic:

Pink Cashmere

Mayte:

The One

Soul Sanctuary

One Kiss At A Time

Have A Heart

Mani:

She Loves Me 4 Me

Carmen Electra:

The Continental

Damn U

I Hate U

Susannah, Lisa, Wendy:

In This Bed I Scream

I've read somewhere too that She's Always in my Hair was written for Jill Jones.

Prince may be the purple Yoda, but Wendy & Lisa and Eric Leeds also sit on the Jedi Council.

A lot of the Black album was being written prior 2 SOTT the Black album:When 2 R in Love may have been (almost) released in 1988 but a lot of the music was either already written or in the works. SuperfunkiCalifragiSexy was previewed at the 1st Avenue open rehearsal of the new band and that was early 87.

Rock Hard in a Funky Place co lead is Susannah Melvoin

Eye No is from the 1986 Dream Factory sessions Ball

I mean they were broken up when SOTT was released that doesn't mean all those SOTT songs were not about Susannah, Empty Room was released when? and that is about Susannah as well as a few others

Palomino Pleasure Ride was written for the chick from the Raspberry Beret video that Prince was porking. You know... Kelly Kelly Kelly Kelly from Cheers.

If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

an easy one here - mayte - the most beautiful girl in the world smile pretty sure it was about her

and also Billy Jack Bitch was written about reporter CJ but obviously not a protege etc.

i think that mani was the inspiration for the Rave track I love U, but i don't trust u anymore

i'd like to know who the inspiration was for Adore.

no more spring to mind right now

i think i read in per nilson's book or hahn's book said it was about nona gaye, or a source like that. if that's the case then i think that's terribly sad as mayte was the one doing the dancing for it on totp and so on..

We are talking about Prince here, "The King of Strange Relationships" Hey, maybe, Strange Relationship was about him and... him. "I can't stand to see you happy...more then that I hate to see you sad" and "Until the end of time, I'll be there for you..You on my heart and mind, I truly adore you" I, honestly, don't think he can love anyone other than himself." Especially, at that time in his life.
