01 - Compassion Discuss... Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

Okay, I'm not usually one for happy hippy lyrics (Resolution and Song of the Heart made me want to puke), but I am totally all right with this one. Might be the fact that the song moves. Decent opener. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I like this song. Kinda reminds me of an up-tempo version of Boom.
Good tune... maybe the best of all the tracks! The public is squeezin' you kiddo. You'd better kick ass on your next album or else!

This song is just "Sexuality" and "Delirious" with a more carefree, less controversial twang to it and no falsetto as was on "Sexuality". I also have to admit the sound and beats were similar to "Let's Get Crazy". Just with a differend mindset Prince. It's cool.

The drums sound the same as Lets Pretend We're Married.
This is lame, though. Dirty Mind era Prince would laugh hysterically at this. You're 51, Prince, not 89!
He needs to stop speak-singing and stop singing through his nose.

I like this song. It's a fun, funky way to start the CD. I like the part where he talks about liking the skin your in. I dig it. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Lets Pretend We're Married meets Play In The Sunshine, has the same drum pattern & keyboards as Lets Pretend We're Married with some extas added in though, when he starts singing the 1st verse u can sing along the words "Excuse Me But I Need A Mouth Like Urs" I like it, 2 bad its not dirty like the original though

The fake horns are back! Yes. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Fast and furious and catchy as hell! A definite cousin to Let's Go Crazy taking it to a new level. Great opener The greatest live performer of our times was is and always will be Prince.
Remember there is only one destination and that place is U All of it. Everything. Is U.

Boring as Hell. One of his worst openers.

Within 30 seconds I was immediately recalling Delirious, Let's Pretend We're Married and Let's Go Crazy.

This didn't immediately grab me, but it's not awful.

I'm also reminded of "...Married" and another similar song, "Horny Toad" and "Jack U Off". Well damn! How many songs did he produce with this beat? Oh Lord I almost forgot "Sister" was produced like this too! WTF?

Great uptempo.. Love this song. Prince 4Ever.

Really like this one and my wife does too. When she first heard the snippet she said, "oooh, it's his good voice again". :) It's a lot of fun and a good opener. Love the whatever skin your in bit but it keeps making me think of The Timewarp. I keep expecting him to burst into, "let's do the timewarp again". RIP

Damn it does sound like "The Time Warp" on this one too. But a better "Time Warp" than the OTHER similar track that "ends" this album initially hahaha

Nah I'm not impressed. it's bleh.

For once, it sounds as if it could be played at an actual party. I like it so far .. but honestly, I'll have to play it a bunch of times, as any album's instant pleasures (to me) are always the first to bore and irritate me later on.
Oh, how I've missed the jangle guitar in the background. Well played Prince.

OK, my initial pleasure for this song has dropped somewhat... too much going on. And yeah he is speak-singing. Sounds more like something he came up with along the way...

I look 4ward to hearing "2010," I have no idea when I will be able to own it.
Thanks 4 sharing your comments. "The Lion Sleeps Tonight...

what every one said :
Kind old school... Not too bad

"sexuality" in head on collision with "can't stop this feeling i got". i like it a lot, but i'm not sure if this is a song that will hold up on repeated listens.
like the lyrics tho. especially the part about sanctity and righteousness having to take a backseat to compassion. that's actually a good message for once without an overt religious zeal.
the synth and horns on the bridge are very nice
and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Not feeling this song at all... even after a couple of listens. There are two throw aways on the album this one and we all know what the other is Dance... Let me see you dance
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
agree... Someone else said its a combination of Play in the Sunshine and Lets Pretend....
LMAO... its crap and why make a song that sounds like a combination of those two? Dance... Let me see you dance
