There isn't really any competition in my book. C&E kicks ass, Hot Summer is just ok. Maybe if Hot Summer were more polished I'd like it more, but as is it just sounds like a demo to me. C&E just needs a clean up on the vocals (I dont like the way he sounds on this song singing in a lower octave), otherwise I like it a lot.

"Cause And Effect" at least sounds a bit like a Prince song....."Hot Summer" belongs in the same camp as "Purple and Gold" and more like a bad NPG mess.

Neither is anything to get really excited about, but I appreciate them nonetheless. I prefer "Cause and Effect", but I hope he has better things in store with the new album.

Glad that they aren't on the album.

But also glad that there are a few extras to go along with the album. I always like that. And if I think there's a slim chance that they'll fit in there anywhere, it's always fun to mix b-sides and bonus stuff into the tracklist.
