Geez you guys, you don't pay much attention to the rules around here much, do you? You can't be asking for links and sending them through PMs! You're still putting that data on the .org's servers... disbelief

I wonder if this is a promotional one off or a song from his upcoming project.

The song is respectable, but im not completely sold on it.

I dont like the way he approached the track vocally, I could have done without the female vocalist as well.

I could have used a lot more guitar, that catchy riff that occasionaly shows up should have been in the mix a lot more often. I like the sound of that synth lead too, a solo would have had me wilding out.

You're so glam, every time I see you I wanna slam!

This song instantly reminded me of Shake (maybe because of the staccatto synth organ line).

If you don't expect a major funky outburst of sexuality, this mellow track is actually quite cool for relaxing in the hot and humid weather!

Oh hold up! timeout

Now I said I wouldn't say anything about the song but this blatant HYPOCRITICAL begging to SHARE a BOOTLEG because if you have it in your computer's possession it is now a BOOTLEG, which for some of the folks begging the hardest is supposed to be a no no no! and only something us Haters would do...is another matter all together!

Y'all don't even want to play that game today! disbelief

I knew from the start that I loved you with all my heart.

It definitely wants a fruity, fizzy cocktail. nod

The guys on The Current said they were told (by Prince or one of his minions - I can't remember that part) that this is not from the upcoming album...but the one after that.

Whatever the hell that means... lol

I think this song is more of a PREDICTION than it is a part of an album.

It might have a little of that flavor - but it isn't that good, sadly.

Similar to The Morning After?

yep, mixed with a little '' I Like It There" from Chaos and Disorder. Unspectacular song

Hey guys - we'll play the new song "Hot Summer" later today - definitely in 12 noon hour (Central US time), and probably again in afternoon.

It's been a wild few months getting to have conversations with Prince and hear and world debut new unreleased music, the first of which was "Cause and Effect" and now with "Hot Summer."

He's definitely back in Minneapolis, and from our conversation at Paisley Park a few weeks ago that not only included listening to and talking about his new music, but also about artists like Janelle Monae, Kings Go Forth, and Brother Ali - he's a Current listener and fan. He expressed a lot of respect for what we do and how passionate we are about music, and I think that's why he's been into sharing his new music with us to share with you.

Enjoy the new tune!

Oh, the irony! Everyone is celebrating Prince's birthday ... except Prince rolleyes

What's wrong with that picture batting eyes? I'm hearing tributes on the radio,

hour-long shout-outs on the car stereo; I tell you, it's everywhere I go music headbang

Come on, Prince, come out and play with us a bit, um? How about it, Baby 3way?

Oh, yeah, Hot Summer is hot summery. I have to hear it again though to

form a sensible opinion to be able to comment with any worthwhile degree

of credibility. I'll just say thanks for being the Giver on Your Day! I get the

strong impression that your joy is more intimately derived from the pleasured

appreciation...and that is highly commendable worship

Thanks, Current, for delivering it, and I look forward to listening again

at noon. lol
