Is Prince Your Most Listened-To Artist?

Do you listen to Prince more than you listen to anyone else?

I'd have to say lately my car CD time is divided between Prince (Diamonds and Pearls) or Led Zeppelin (Physical Graffiti) On the home CD, some Big Star, Minutemen, Joy Division and other stuff.

But, overall I'm certain I've listened to far more Prince than anything else in my life.

Y'all?

At the moment but not over-all. And that is because I didn't listen to him for fifteen years and I'm catching up...lol

If you go by my iTunes most played then it's J'Davey. I've listened to 'Private Parts' almost 500 times by now. 'Elixer' the song comes in at number 24 of my 25 most played.
When eye go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all heart up in the house but when eye log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

I would have 2 say...yes. I am listening 2 a lot of Badu at the moment and lots of others too, but Prince is on my hi-fi/ipod most days. I do however occasionally have a "non Prince" week....it is quite refreshing.

Yeah he is... Not because he is the one I want to listen to more, but just because I play my iTunes/iPod with the "random" option, and P has sooo many songs, every 3 songs I that pop up, I'm sure there's one Prince song there lol
But by choice, I play Marvin, Michael or Led more than anybody else wink

He was for a time, while I was collecting everything...though Tori Amos and Marilyn Manson probably top him for overall listens. And Ace of Base...but they're all up there.

Prince only competes against genres on my ipod, not other artists.
Fortunately, he's brought out so much music and on many different mood levels which makes it easy to listen a lot.

You've got great taste in music! highfive

Prince is definitely my most listened to artist, as well. My follow-ups (in random order) would be:

Elvis Presley
Nirvana
The Beatles
Michael Jackson
Jewel
Garth Brooks

I'm wild about '80s music in general.

Yeah, good way to put it, I think. Although I do actually select Prince songs on the regular (always making mixes for folks), when vibing on my own, there's my jazzy soul, my 70's soul, etc... and there's "Prince", lol. He's his own genre in my playlist hierarchy.

Yes and has been since 1984. usually when I want to change what I'm listening to, I pick a different album, era or genre of prince music.
