Someone pointed out a few pages ago that Vanity Fair is the equivalent of "Ivory."
I'm sorry, but this is just too funny. LOL.

this is hilarious that u think for me to point this out makes me "prejudice." i'll refrain from reposting a diatribe about the lack of cultural competency and ppl's ability to discuss issues that include race with any intelligence, but ur post is a great case in point |

I'm not refering to ur statement. i agree with U about Vanity Fair. It was really sad that they couldn't put any up & coming ethnic talent on there cover like Gabourey Sidibe. My statement was about the overall comments about Prince doing an interview for Ebony. It just wouldn't have been all of this if it was Rolling Magazine or People Magazine. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! I just read the article and I think it was rather pointless. I'd been satisfied if they just had about 6 pages of him in photos than to read an interview where he dodges answering questions by rambling about the sun, moon and the stars...and oops, how could I forget, that fuckin' Larry Graham!
did you really expect anything else?.
Well when I read an interview in a magazine, I do expect to get enlightened by some things that I don't know already about the artist. I can at least say that I didn't know that Ike Turner was his first musical influence, but other than that the rest was blah. We already know that the man doesn't like to grant interviews so my thing is, why agree to an interview if you only going to bullshit the interviewers? It's pointless. That's why I said, I'd been more fulfilled if he did a photo spread instead. Does that answer your question? Hopefully it does. [Edited 6/7/10 4:21am] I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |

That's because Ike Turner is largely credited with starting the whole Rock & Roll thing, and the rest of the world just followed suit. That's why Ike Turner was so mean, bitter, and crazy because he was never given his due credit. Little Richard, and Chuck Berry are also credited with being the forefront artists in the Rock and Roll movement. All of them were jilted, and Elvis and other artists were falsely branded as the orginators of Rock and Roll. Although I'm your biggest fan...I'm also your biggest critic. Can you deal with that? |

Okay, I didn't make that statement as if to say that was a bad thing, I was just simply saying that, that was a fact about P that I didn't know before reading the article. Even though I already know the history of Rock & Roll, I appreciate your response. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. |

and he said something that really does not seem to be lovely
in my eyes.
Like he isn't interested in her deeply. Wow. That's what it looks
