Total garbage.

It's a bit cowardly of whoever posted the video to disable comments and ratings. They have to know it just wasn't that great to begin with, so they're totally side-stepping anything negative.

But hardly surprising. She manages to suck the life out of her own turgid offerings so there's no reason why she should do any better with this.

It's such a simple song that it's hard to screw it up, and yet she manages to deliver it with no emotion at all. I mean, even I can sing it with feeling, and my voice is an instrument of torture. What's more telling is that she chose this song to cover - rather than something that might actually require a bit of vocal dexterity. Maybe she should've chosen My Little Pill, she might've been able to do that one justice.

You could always download it and re-up it yourself, allowing comments.

Whats so hatefull about it?

I really dont hear anything that is a total assault to my senses , wich seems to be how most have reacted.

I think it's a nice version and very Katie'esque. 8/10

I love her voice and she looks so damn hot. But that interpretation sucks.

And I can't stand to see her dancing at her live concerts, it looks so awkward.

It's not hateful as such, to call it hateful would be an overexpenditure of emotion. It's just banal, emotionless, forgettable. Crap, in other words.

Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.

I like it! I like how it formalizes the melody and actually points out the interesting way in which the the second line of each verse is tuned.

I really love this composition by Prince! I wish he would do one of his full jazzy covers of older songs with this tune. (like the way he did "In a Large Room with No Light" recently)

She looks beautiful.

But her music is terrible.

And this version of Cherry Moon is unforgivable.

Not sure why she felt the need to sing the verse off key...and the chorus on key.

It isn't my cup of tea - but I don't think it's as horrible as others are making it out to be, either. shrug

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I like any new interpretations of his music. The sad truth is young artists keep him relevant by covering his material.

I don't think it's bad at all it's just a slightly different version from his song.

It was a 2007 B side release - I remember, as Prince covered her 2005 song 'Nine Million Bicycles' at the Indigo that year. I think she did a good job, and it's nice to see tracks that are not obvious hits covered.

I really agree with you ! Even when the cover is not good (like in this case let's say), it shows people that wouldn't listen to him that no matter what, he is a good songwriter.

More covers please !!! Plus it's kind of fun (sometimes) to hear a new interpretation of a song we know by heart.

I found out that David Byrne, Patti Smith and Elvis Costello (to name a few...) covered some Prince songs live !!!! I like covers !

My Morning Jacket does a killer live take on I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man.

Here's a story...I was visiting my parents in Texas a few years ago and they took me to this hick ass catfish restaurant. I mean the waiter had a Confedrate flag headband on as he took our order! Anyway, there was a country band playing, just bass, guitar, drums and vocals. They asked for any requests and I yelled out "Play some Prince!" Everyone kinda laughed, hell...there was only about 15-20 people in the restaurant, but this band played a fantastic version of "Raspberry Beret." I tipped my cap to them as I left and the bass player did the "V" with his fingers and tongue inserted, very Princely.

Just goes to show that his reach is quite impressive.

Disabling the comments isn't such a bad thing when on youtube they tend to range between inane and offensive.
