Your review was wack & very negative....U could have kept that to yourself[/b][/quote] Sorry that i forgot everyone here drinks the purple kool-aid. When prince is wack, he is wack and should be called out for it. I have seen him 60+ times live from 1993 on, some amazing shows late night at paisley park, some great arena/aftershows, and sad to say some wack shows.. This i wouldnt even say it was a prince show, as he sat in the crowd with his posse and played 2 songs.. But it simply WAS NOT VERY GOOD.. You people have to realize that can happen.. for a number of reasons, bad equipment, not happy with the stage, an average house band, bad lights, etc... When prince is good, i commend him for being good, but sorry last night was not it, and I don't drink the kool-aid and won't hold my tongue or thoughts cause people only want to hear "Positivity".. if that is the case just listen to Lovesexy in a loop!!

Maybe, but I'd hope (despite being image conscious) Prince's decision to rock the Model C was based on wanting a particular sound. Or maybe he just recently "re-discovered" the guitar and has just taken a shine to it again? I guess your comment was only half serious anyway [Edited 5/5/10 7:37am] Just somewhere in the middle,
Not too good and not too bad.

But Ur comments weren't all about his show.("He is going bald, or got a really bad haircut.. Looked like a frail old man, needing help to get up on a 1 foot high stage.Had huge bodyguard goons with him.".) That was totally unnecessary to say all that, U were verbally attacking him not the show. The circumstances of the show was obviously last minute. Not even using his own instruments and as u see he wasn't even on stage that long. So I'm sure he knew it wasn't the best sound or show he can give. By the way I've been seeing him live since 1982. I've lost count of how many. Keep the negativity. will ALWAYS think of like a "ACT OF GOD"! Ayan said: I I went to the Village Underground aftershow. First off it was not a 45 minute set, Prince was on stage for 2-3 songs at most. He has his back turned to the crowd ala a Miles Davis "F U People" attitute.. He is going bald, or got a really bad haircut.. Looked like a frail old man, needing help to get up on a 1 foot high stage.. Had huge bodyguard goons with him..
Ok do i sound bitter, not really as it was worth the $10 cover and trek down there, but what amazes me in such a small space, either the regular crowd didnt know he was in the house as everyone was on their freakin blackberries during the whole show until he got on stage.. Also the band seemed to be totally enjoying it as they are a house band, while with talent i doubt any of them will be breakout stars.. he played a red guitar that the house band was playing, but the lefty playing skinny white kid in the band was playing a fender Strat, blue, but it was strung lefty, probably would have been a better sound for Prince.. Also after he left the stage, he was up on his table in the VIP section, either laughing or crying inside as the house band singer did the lyrics to Ballad of Dorothy Parker while the band was playing something totally different.. strange moment.. Then the house band played Chocolate by the Time.. I was like WTF (Prince was gone at this point).. Shelby J (go away please), and Morris Hayes also sat in with the house band was Prince was on stage. Oh the stage was so small 9 musicians, that the 2 drummers had their kits set up on the "dance floor" It was cool to see, but considering the last time i saw prince he was with that talentless hack Tamar, i think the house band was an upgrade!! dont u have anything nice to say abt prince..... sheesh where u get off saying abt his hairstyle huh..... l think he still look very define to me for his age cant u just leave him alone..

Sounds like more of the same people either love it or hate it. At least we r a passionate group.
I love the harmonies. I love the idea of some of his best songs getting some great backup harmonies. I'm dreaming of when doves cry's chorus. As long as Shelby doesn't over do it. I'd love for p to change up the set a little, tho. Am I the only one who thinks I feel for u falls flat every time?
