In der ersten Juni Woche soll weltweit ein neues Prince Album erscheinen, dass ausschließlich über Presse (Magazine / Tageszeitungen) herauskommen soll.

Das Album wird weder im Handel noch über Internet bestellbar sein, sondern soll ausschließlich durch Printmedien veröffentlicht werden.....

Das Album soll den Umfang von 10 Songs haben!

That means:
A new Prince album is gonna be released in june via print media (magazines or newspapers) worldwide...
Not available via internet or in a record store....
Containing 10 songs.....

Im actually in full support of that method of distribution. It worked wonders with Planet Earth.

What a bizarre way to release something - considering that nobody reads hardcopy newspapers anymore.

Didn't know "Free albums with a magazine" was a tax right off.

Cool though if true. Kind of excited to see what's around the corner.

So...the source of the rumor is a German fan page, not unlike the org? As in, ANYONE could post a thread saying "New Album In June" and that would be considered the news source?

I haven't been on here in a while but thought I would check in this evening in hope of conformation of this.
Me and my sister were chatting about Prince the other day and she said it's about time for another tour seen as though he's releasing another new album.
I used to look on here a lot more than I do lately so it was always me informing my sister of exciting new things! For that reason, I didn't ask her about it and just nodded along!!!
I see the obvious word is 'rumour' but it is the 2nd time I've heard it now!

Yes, the thread is labeled as rumor, but you can see people are already hook line and sinker into something with NO factual backup.

This would actually be a good idea for Ebony magazine. Because there rumored to be having financial problems.....

I suggest we all just wait and see what the interview contains.

And even though it's just a rumor, I'd put money on Prince at the least using the interview to hype up a soon-to-be-released album. It's just good business sense.
