It's OK if you don't believe. I (and several others who are in the know) know what the deal is. Look at my bio - I'm in the music industry and I'm signed to a major. I was previously signed to a different major. I talk with other people in the industry on a daily basis.

It makes no difference to me whether you think what I'm saying is true or not. But even the most noobish of Prince fans can look at his behaviour over time, look at the fact that he's had an album out almost every year for the past 30 years, and then come to the conclusion that he probably DID intend, at one stage, to release an album in 2008, and the flood of activity that happened around the time of Coachella related to that - ie the hints dropped by reliable members here and at HQ, the performance of a brand new song on a mainstream TV ahow, with bespoke artwork in the background, the registration of several new trademarks belonging to Paisley Park, Inc, at the same time.

The difference is I know for sure, but it doesn't take Einstein to figure out something was going on.

It's telling that you want me to believe that you've got some scoop, that you're in the know, but then you spend the rest of your post putting together a long string of suppositions and theory. You make a reasonably convincing case that something MIGHT have been happening, but there's still zero proof. And you overlook one thing: after "Turn Me Loose" was aired on the radio, Prince passed along a message to Dr. Funkenberry that it wasn't intended for release, and had been recorded for archival purposes:

http://www.drfunkenberry....-it-loose/

On a different note: you can toss around your "industry" connections all you like, but nothing in your bio indicates you have a direct line to insider info about Prince. Who do you think you're fooling? I actually WORK in the industry (new music/marketing), and my experience is that artists such as yourself don't have the kind of connections you claim to. Your management company doesn't even have a website. You claim to be signed to Universal, but everything you've released has been independent. Doesn't add up. If you talk to industry people everyday, it must surely be as you serve them coffee.

No, it's been confirmed by the source of the rumor, who has been posting the same thing across many Prince fansites today.

There still is not a shred of tangible evidence.

He'd already changed his mind by that point, obviously. Look, I'm not the only person (or the first) to claim this, so at the end of the day, either believe or don't. I know, other people know, Prince knows.

On a different note: you can toss around your "industry" connections all you like, but nothing in your bio indicates you have a direct line to insider info about Prince. 1. When Prince is talking to people at major labels (which he WAS), then it's hardly "insider info". For the record, I never claimed to have a "direct line" to Prince, but I do know a mixing engineer that works with him on a regular basis.

2. Not having a website means nothing. Would you believe that Lauryn Hill personally called up my manager the other day and spent hours on the phone with him telling him that she's finally ready to make the follow up to 'Miseducation' and she wants him to be involved? (He used to be the intnl president of Ruffhouse Records who the Fugees were signed to and still manages Pras). You probably wouldn't believe it, but hey, I was there and I know what's true and what isn't. The head of my band co-produced one of the biggest selling albums of the last decade, so again, believe what you want.

3. We're independent in the UK only, and our last release came out through EMI, and the previous one through Sony BMG, as you can CLEARLY see on the CD spines.

http://img263.imageshack....214224.jpg

Don't assume you can do a 5minute Google Search on me and think you know who I am or what I'm about.

As for 'coffee' comment, bite me. I think that's more likely what you do.

You don't get it, do you? You just keep repeating these theories as facts, and expecting people to believe you, simply because you say so, without a single shred of proof. That's called rumour-mongering dude, and I do believe that's against the rules of this site.

And really, you don't see why your management not having a website in this day and age is a big deal? EVERYONE in the business has a website. I'd think someone who utilizes as many facets of the internet as you do would understand that, and want someone equally web-savvy.

Nice try at throwing my own line back at me, by the way, but I've already told you what I do. I'd give you a list of some of my clients, but you seem like a petty little fellow, and you'd probably use that against me.

Thanks Soulstar. I try not to make it personal on here, but I'm not gonna back down when someone else does.

Chill TwiliteKid - I don't know you, you don't know me, we have different opinions on something. Let's leave it at that. I'm not here to take shots at you and you don't need to take shots at me, let's try and keep friendly discussions about an artist we both like at a civil level.

^^^I have this version, it's wonderful packaging, a mag devoted to slash, a patch, a badge and the cd is special to this release, with different artwork and a bonus track only available in the uk on this cd, all for only £14.99 (about $20). and the album Rocks!!!

cool

With this type of factual information, it gives credence to the Prince rumor. It could be possible that this inspired P to do the same thing. I actually like that idea... We shall see...cool

That 'tramp' in the street is trying to better his/her situation in a legitimate way. It's called being 'homeless'. For whatever reason, it's not our place to judge what happened and why they are there. At least they are doing something about it.
