What Prince song had to grow on you over time?

I know there's a Prince song you hated at one point put over time you learned to appreciate it. Mine would be The Beautiful Ones and Darling Nikki. I guess since I was a kid at the time I didnt "get it" (didnt know what masturbation meant at age 8)...but now those 2 are definitely classic joints.

The entire emancipation album. razz

But single songs that come to mind are "Strange Relationship" and "Dance 4 Me".

I hated the synth part to strange relationship for so long.
I still play pokemon. I play warcraft. And I'm awesome.

I don't think I've ever had a Prince song grow on me if I hated it. There have been lots of "kinda like it" songs that I now love, though.

I'd really like to hear Wedding Feast right now, but sadly it's not on my harddrive...

i suppose i appreciate ballads like the beautiful ones more now as (an alleged) adult then when i first heard it...

chocolate box is one of those love/hate tracks. gimme a sunny day and car with the top down and i'll feel this is groovin'. try listen to it with a bunch of un-likeminded people on a winter's evening and you'll be told to turn it off.
Got my mojo working...it just don't work on you!

in the early 80's when it came out I hated WDC and PR but that I think is mostly cos I was really into clubbing and they were just not dance hits for me - shameful now to think that Ray Parker Junior and Ghost Busters kept them from the number one spot - I am dutifully ashamed. But I love them now although they do make me cry sometimes- but don't tell no one I told you that

At first I was blah about them, but I'm the type of personn that rarely likes anything at first so...but now I absolutely love each and everyone of them.
