Many on here treat Prince like a n*

Some of u may understand where I'm coming from. After reading the "super negro" thread I think in some cases its worse then that.

Like in prior days in America many black entertainers were applauded on stage as long as they statisfied their white audeniece. But off stage they were still n* and the white public was free to disrespect them as human beings. They were in essense just talented monkeys to much of white americans.

Many here treat prince as if he was a talented monkey free to be abused when he longer is found entertaining. I think for many on this site who don't enjoy him now have little respect for him as an Artist or human being. It one thing not to not like a song and another to attack and try to belittle his efforts.

Those who have the need to "shit" on Prince give us all insight into their character. They will claim that it is "all in fun" or "they just want him to do better". But no one likes being attacked or belittled. Whether they be a king or a Prince. We all know this. So what possible motive can there be to denigrate someone who supposedly u hold in high regard?

Either u A) you're just a hateful person B) Need someone to vent your own fustrations with life on or c) Don't see Prince as anything to respect i.e. the talented monkey.

I'm pretty sure the hate squad on this site have driven many a level-headed prince fan away with the over top hate everytime Prince pokes his head out.

This shouldn't an ugly place.

The negativity springs from negativity brotha...through his actions, Prince has brought this on himself....you do remember the $77 fiasco???

I am one who will support the art, he is one of a kind, but I don't blame anyone for standing up for themselves.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Does it speak to you as a person when you put down those you do not agree with Tricky? How many times must you start pretty much the same thread? Are you this passionate for artists who are not Prince? Why don't you visit the non-Prince forum and talk to some of those guys about how the rips dozens of artists to shreds on here every single day? Perhaps you don't give a fuck about them because they are not Prince? I would find that a bit hypocritical.

So many times, people say you should separate the art from the person. It is very easy to do in the case of a person like Prince. I have been listening to Prince since I was 9. I do not have to respect him as a person (from everything I know about him I do not even like him as a person) but I do respect his art, even the art I don't care for.

I think the ones who kiss Prince's ass on the regular drive people away from this site. They definitely stop many members from posting in this forum.

So no, I am not a hateful person. No, I do not need to vent any frustrations from my life and no, I do not see Prince as a talented monkey.

Amen. I mean really Tricky. We just talked about this last week. If you say you're not losing sleep over the negative comments on the Org why do you keep creating posts like these? Are you trying to convert someone?

We understand that some folks out here are rude. But there are many of us, and many more lurkers who don't frequently post, who are probably turned off by both sides of the aisle.

It's just as silly to say Prince is a genius and can do no wrong as it is to say Prince $ucks a$$ and should retire.

Who are you trying to reach? Again, I'm not saying this to fan the flames from either side of the aisle. I just don't understand the mentality of posting a "Please stop disparaging Prince" thread every other week.

And saying some of the naysayers are treating him like a n* is just off the charts. I think some folks may be overzealous in their disappointment of his recent catalog, but do you really think they would be a member of this site if it were just to make comments of THAT nature?

don't worry or fret yourself over them...prince isn't biggrin

and if u detect hate, haters hate themselves first,

so let us bow our heads and pray for them,

so that they may overcome their self-destructive perspectives

"it's mo hard 2 love, than it is 2 hate...sing it y'all...it's Mo hard..."

Or any of the other current "hater's threads".
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.
