Prince songs all tuned down?? I've noticed that almost all Prince songs - at least those recorded at Paisley Park - are tuned down about 8 cents.
This seems really strange. Anyone have any idea why this could be??

Region 2 is going to be a bit off. I always remember my VHS, and all my DVDs being exactly on key.

So you are in PAL-land like me. 50 Hz interlaced TV at 720x576 or so. Americans have a 60 Hz TV solution. Also the analog film that wa sused to shoot the movie has different number of frames per second. This means that, depending on the route that the video/audio went, the movie might have been sped up a bit to make the conversion(s) easier. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... I was watching PR yesterday and I wanted to play along with my guitar and I've noticed songs in that movie are 2 or 3 semi-tones higher (my guitar is tuned one semi-tone down). I was just a little bit surprised, that's all.

I'm not talking about songs being a few semitones up/down.
I'm saying that many songs are not at A=440. They're more like A=432. Some songs, but not all. Seems strange, and I can't explain this...
