It's OK.
It could have made it on to any of the last three or four albums. Innovative, no. Going to be anyone's favourite, no. The guitar's pretty good. I listened to song a couple of times and I like it cause it's Prince. Did he say/sing "Lamb"? I can't clap or snap to any song with the word lamb unless it's a hymn. My word, I have not felt close to this music since release of Rainbow Children. Just call me shallow or superficial, because, I do not want to be educated, I want to be entertained. Thanks to The Current & to Prince for working together and getting it played and to the .org for posting it!
On the first listen, I dug the guitar & effects (scary deep voice!  ), but could probably live without the 'hey hey' thing. As usual, I'll have to play it a few more times to let it sink in and get a better feel for it. | |

IMO I thought it was Okay. NOthing AMAZING, and by far not total crap. The best part was the guitar solo. Everything sounded so underproduced, like it was just a bunch of scraps he put together, the lyrics.... *YAWN*, I hope this is not a dose of whats to come. Atleast i didn't have to pay 77$ to hear it. lol |

How would that have gone down as a separate, isolated entity?
