I miss buying a new Prince album.... ....I bought the first Prince album I saw at Barnes and Noble yesterday-- the Batman soundtrack on sale for $5.99. No harm in having multiple copies of Prince albums. What have u done for Prince lately? "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

Does giving him $77 this year, free of charge for nothing in return count as doing something for him? Not that I did that either, If Prince wants to release some actual, new, physical products, then I'd be happy to 'do something for him' by purchasing them. The longer he dicks about with false promises, cancelled events and mystical bollocks, the longer my money stays in my wallet. Erik blah blah blah

Not what most people expected and not all of what ws advertisied but I have all of the video and audio content that is on that site. I already have some of it in various non digital formats that did not have the quality of thoes clips in the revolving sphere so I was glad to get them as new downloads. Some of the clips Ihave seen nowhere else - liek the more recent material and the Jay Leno performance that wasnt aired. OK - people got the T shirt. The Lotusflow3r album download and bonus tracks are there. Having the entire Sacrafice of Victor video downloaded is worth something to me. I paid over $100 for the japanese laserdisc about 15 years ago. If I had to buy all of that content - and I would if it were commercially available - it would have cost me way more than $77. I find the people who want to "keep their money" actually don't have a grip on the value of the material or much money to spend on a luxury items like Prince music in the first place. If $77 is enough to scream about, you can't afford it. So that is one intelligent way to to look at it. [Edited 2/22/10 5:54am]

Bought Lotusflow3r and few weeks ago. Considered buying 21 Nights from Books A Million last weekend, but didn't want to pay $50 for it. May buy it from Barnes and Noble online for $33.

something yeah, but was it new?? Brofie? I didn't pay the $77 - and I'm glad I didn't. What I have heard was the material on the lotusflower site was what we have bought earlier on - on vhs tapes, and old music videos etc. Nothing of interests for oldies fans.... cuz it is seen and owned already. It's alright mentioning the Sacrifice of Victor, but as you said, you already had it anyway. So do I, why would I want a compressed version. The 3 CD's were released at a very reasonable price. Physical CD's with artwork. I wouldn't have wanted a tshirt as I am a Prince fan for the music... But even if I weren't, many people never recieved them. As far as I can tell, the only exclusives were 'the morning after' and a couple of promo videos. Should you really have to pay to see promotional material?? If you think $77 is a decent price for 1 exclusive track and a couple of vids, fine. There are many on here who would disagree though. Erik blah blah blah

Why would you do that unless your copy is damaged or lost?. That's just stupid behaviour that suggests you're mentally challenged or something.

Its funny that the people that scream loudest about this apparent fiasco are the ones who also say they didn't partake! So, STFU - what's it got to do with you anyway? I'm quite happy with what I got (my copies of Sacrifice of Victor and The Undertaker VHS tapes were stolen when my house was burgled, so it was nice to get those back) and I also received the t-shirt - managed to get all the way to the UK. I didn't even spend as much on this site as one good night out so, as Brofie says, you obviously can't afford it if you're going to miss $77! But those that didn't even spend the money shouldn't complain - it had no value to you so you chose not to do it. Why keep bleating on about something you didn't do?! ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...

That's the dumbest thing I've heard in ages; to buy an album just because you want to "do something for Prince". Batman is primarily owned by Warner Bros, which has a tight seal on the Batman franchise. But Barry Meyer thanks you for helping with his Bentley payments.

They probably had a program/plug-in that grabs flash content (like DownloadHelper plugin for Firefox); or they meant they were just glad to see videos they hadn't seen before. So, STFU - what's it got to do with you anyway? Crystal Ball fiasco. Received it months after it was in the shops. Didn't receive the war cassette. NPG Music Club, never got the 4 albums as promised in the tourbook. Didn't get to see the soundcheck. NPGMC year 3 - Paid for lifetime membership... then the club closed. So yes, actually, I DO have a right to say what I think about his new rip off venture. If you think you got value for money, good for you, those purple blinkers really suit you. As someone who has been ripped off/let down time and time again by Prince and his online ventures... and as a result didn't fall for his latest one, I am just as entitled to an opinion as those who would blindly box up their own grandmothers and ship them off to Paisley if the message came through on their neon telephones. Glad you enjoyed lotu$£lower.con, hope you enjoy the automatic renewal. Erik blah blah blah

I've been lucky - whenever I've spent money on Prince, I got what I expected. But then, I bought CB in the shops and I never joined NPGMC, so I've had limited experience of the more "risky" ventures. Obviously others haven't been so lucky. So, you make your choice not to purchase in that manner again. Good for you. My perception of its value to me has nothing to do with purple blinkers, but the choice that I made that I could afford the $77 and I got some stuff I wanted - why that has to be a problem for you or a point of ridicule is beyond comprehension. The same is true with any company offering a product and is true with Prince. How about still admitting to be a hardcore fan, (even after the Warner fiasco. Even after the name change and the lies he told for the reason behind it.. Even after the return to Prince and admitting the "real" reason he changed it in the first place. Even after the poor (contract filling) releases. Even after the crappy websites and the money he took from 1000's of fans. Even after the lawsuits. Even after the removal of videos and pics.) isnt that enough?
