"can't stop this feeling i got" VS "Footloose" Come on, we all know it sounds like it. Still, I presume you couldn't escape that song when it first came out, even if "can't stop this feeling I got" came out years later.
I go for "can't stop..." LOL. Its abit too long mind you (i.e breakdown could be shorter/tighter), but I dig it. Love the way it goes into "new power generation" aswell. I also feel it sounds like "play in the sunshine" aswell, so maybe that was the inspiration LOL. Iam not hatin', just sayin'.

What is "aswell"?
Anyway, I vote for "Footloose". Stronger song and a MUCH better movie to go with it.

That's funny, I never made that connection until now!
If I'm not mistaken, "Can' Stop" was written in '81, so maybe Kenny heard it and got an idea I dig the Graffiti Bridge version, the production seems very clear and uplifting, same vibe that Elephants and Flowers has.

I sincerly doubt Kenny heard it, but you're right, it was originally recorded in the early 80s (I had 82 in my head, but I can't find anything to verify that right now). I'd never put this together before either, but now that's its been mentioned, I can defintely hear it.

Remember the song Vox Humana by Kenny Loggins from 1985. It has the Linn Drum machine sound.

http://www.flash80.com/KE...humana.php Yeah, I love the high tech production, but that song sounds too similar to "footloose" LOL. I still like it though....
