These rehearsal videos are such a treat and a nice visit to days past. This era was the time I first fell in love with all things Prince and I loved being able to see such raw footage of him and the band like this.
I realize everybody grows up, and everything changes and moves on, but sometimes (like while watching these vids) I feel kinda sad that we all grow older. Watching Prince move and dance and exude such a sense of energy and joy - not to mention THE AWESOME MUSIC ITSELF - lifted my spirits in a way nothing else and no other music is capable. (cheesy. sorry.) A HUGE THANK YOU to whomever it is posting these videos. I really really really hope there are more to come! | |

Mannn he killed it on that run through of Doves Cry. Them synths were out of this worrrrrld!!!!! So feverent and powerful, they filled up every inch of that basement with melodies from Heaven

I just wish Prince had a website where he could post exclusive videos like this. Maybe one where people would pay a fee for access to exclusive rare videos and 10 albums of unreleased music. What a nice little treat! Very odd these haven't been taken down yet, that Irresistable Bitch and Erotic City are UNEDITED...since they both contain JW unfriendly lyrics, and the are on a news stations website. Hmmm...something fishy goin on round here...but glad as hell to see. Let's hope this is the beginning of something good. |
