3121

[3121 (3121)] {distorted vocals}
1 mix, 1 mix {looped}
DJ, turn it up {looped}
Let's go

3121

Bring mommy, she's local, right

3121, come on

Through the gates, knock on the door
Put your clothes in the pile on the floor
Take your pick from the Japanese robes and sandals
Drink champagne from a glass with chocolate handles

Don't U wanna come? 3121
Gonna be so much fun — 3121
That's where the party be — 3121
U can come if U want 2, but U can never leave!

Look over there (look over there), there's another turn on
Butterflies scared that they're gonna be awake all night long (All night long)
Dancing in your belly like a ballerina
In spite of your efforts 2 calm them down

Don't U wanna come? 3121
It's gonna be so much fun — 3121
That's where the party be — 3121
U can come if U want 2, but U can never leave!

House party, y'all
It's going down people, like the wall of Berlin

Lock the door (lock the door) till U see the sun (Till U see it)
We gon' party like there ain't gon' be another 1
Futuristic fantasy
This is where the purple party people be, yeah

This is where the party be — 3121 {x2}

Breakdown
Guitar!
[3121 (3121)] {distorted vocals}

Don't U wanna come? 3121
It's gonna be so much fun (Yes it is) — 3121
That's where the party be — 3121
U can come if U want 2, but y'all can't never leave! (Not ever!)

It's going down y'all, like the wall of Berlin

good album. cool

I don't think Te Amo Corazon was the strongest first single...

How can I stand 2 stay where I am? / Poor butterfly who don't understand.

** At 42,000 feet above the sea
That's where U and I first came 2 be
From the dust of the earth and the knowledge tree
Te amo corazón {Spanish for: "I love U, sweetheart"}

At last I can tell U what I've known so long
My heart's been crying out 2 sing this song
I don't care who knows it cuz there's nothing wrong
Te amo corazón

I'm so scared of losing U
I really don't know what I'd do
Can't bear the thought of another day apart
My heart, my heart... corazón

At once when I first laid eyes on U
I saw heaven and Earth anew
Everyone else saw my brown eyes, no longer blue
Te amo corazón

Oh yeah, oh yes

At first I couldn't find the words 2 say
How much U've changed me in every way
I just wanna thank U, oh, each and every day
Te amo corazón

I Love this album.

Prince has strung one great album after another. Every 5 years there seems to be an album that outshines the other 4...
In the last 5 years, "3121," gives me that highlighted feeling. cool

Actually...he said he fell in love with the guitar again while he was playing back-up for Tamar.

Great album, weakest band lineup in decades, his current lineup needs a big change before he goes out and plays again

I absolutely loved the 3121 era. Still love the track "3121" and the many ways it was played live at his shows during 2006 and his interaction with fans. Still have a couple of favorites on that cd as well.

Great memories and fun times seeing Prince perform that year! Sure miss those days!woot! guitar

3121 was my first full length Prince album and though, it didn't show me the depth and lyricism the man has done in the past, it shows me that Prince could put out a fun, exciting album. Ironically stuff like Beautiful Loved and Blessed and Get on the Boat caught my ear immediately, now I can take them or leave them. My favorite tracks;

1. 3121;Love the voice synthesizer and other worldy feel, the simplicity reminding me of The Future

2. Lolita; Maybe a bit too simplistic, but I love the call and response and its still damn catchy

3 Black Sweat; Its really the beat that makes the song work, love the drum bass feel.

4. Satisfied; Now this is panty dropping music

5. Fury; Never heard the famous SNL version, but I love this track just the same.

This performance is one of the hottest, the visuals the sound was sharp, I loved the rendition of every song on the playlist for that night.
Prince @ the 2006 Brit Award Show

You reunited with Prince in 2006 at the Brit Awards. Tell us a little bit about what led to that reunion and what it was like to rehearsing for the show. Also, the version of "Te Amo Corzon" played that night was very different, did you all work out that arrangement together?

Lisa:

Prince had been in touch with Wendy a little during that time and he asked us both if we would come play at the Brits with him. We hung out a couple of times and had dinner. We jammed... just the three of us. It was a BLAST! Then Sheila came and a few of us played around with Te Amo... we were just in his living room with a guitar and piano... congas? And it was really nice. So, yes, we worked out a little arrangement together.

Wendy:

We thought that the Brits would be a great time for me and Lisa and Prince to show the world that we are stronger, bigger, better and truer than ever. Unfortunately, it didn’t work out that way. There was no press and no direction from Prince to let the people know that was happening. So the result was no one knew that me and Lisa were even in that band! The last song of the night was "Let's Go Crazy" and the cameras were on the twins. It was a real bummer. But it is what it is. We hoped it would be different.

Great album 9 great tracks for me.

3121
lolita
Te Amo Corazon
Black Sweat
Incense And Candles
Love
Fury
The Word
The Dance.

Satisfied is ok on the couch part 2 and only slightly better, BBLB is ok but should have just been on Tamar's album.

Get On the Boat was funky but by then he'd done a number of similar songs on recent albums, Pretty Man, The Work, Musicology. I don't think it's strong enough to finish the album on.

3121, Black Sweat and Love rank up there with some of his very best stuff

It probably has the strongest bunch of pop compositions out of all the albums from the last decade, but it's definitely the one I like the least. I like the front cover a lot, though.

The problem I have with it still to this day is simple: many of the songs on it aren't in any way related to why I've always listened to Prince.

This is also the album era that introduced us 2 the Twinz, some hate them some like them, some lust 4 them
1 reason I liked them because I just used 2 Prince with attractive women in his band. Sorry outside of Rhonda and possibly Candy D. the women singers or musicians aren't that attractive
