sad It was the first website I checked every day. I always looked forward to what he had to say about the latest releases. I was afraid it might close since it hadn't been updated in months. Oh, well. sigh Best wishes to the owner.

Apparently, the site is no more. They have R.I.P.2004-2009 at the top of the web browser and "All good things, they say, never last"
at the bottom of the page.

This site will be missed by many.

First thing I did after seeing this thread was check the WayBack Machine. Unfortunately, nothing was snapshotted this year.

But it really is up to the Databank admin to decide if someone should carry on with that site's material.

I've said it before, I'm about to say it again and I'll keep saying it...SOMEONE is deliberately and systematically trying to erase Prince's past, his legacy and his impact and influence in the world of music!

I know some will argue that it's just Prince protecting his work and his image but that argument doesn't hold water when you really and seriously think about the last 15 years and how the hell we ended up in this Bizzaro ass World with Ecnirp. hmm

It does hold up the site was great but the sole purpose was to function as a guide for bootleg material.

The days for that site were numbered that being said if you look around you can find plenty of info on boots.

About a year ago thedatabank temporarily shut down, only for it to return a week or so later. The site’s administrator explained that he was drunk when he made the decision to take the site down and had since reconsidered. Also, at the time, he promised that should he ever decide to take down the site for good he would give ample notice of the site’s closure so that people could take whatever info they needed.

Given TDB has now shut down without any notice whatsoever it appears that the webmaster cant be taken at his word. Not that this is of a surprise, anyone who has had the misfortune to deal with Paul personally will testify what a [Name calling snip - luv4u] he is.
