I dont think hell ever do the o2 again, maybe the Indigo2 or some other smaller London venue. I actually think his aftershows are so much better than his concerts. I think we will see him play more festival gigs like Coachella or Montreux, the kind of smaller venue with hardcore fans who like his jamming and dont just crave the purple rain era.

prince knows london loves him he got that reaction to the shows i went 2.
the aftershows were the killer ones because u see the man so close up.
he funked up the shows.
he must have been 47 years old and he had the energy of youth.
50 nights in 3 months prince could do that.
if he can do a show and then aftershows in a month
u reckon he can't do 50 in 3 months.

didn't he say in interview that he couldn't see anyone beating his record of 21 nights at the O2 anytime soon, unless he did it himself ? which i guess u could take any number of ways...
my prediction is that he will play Glastonbury next year in the uk. they have openly admitted that they have tried, and come close to getting him a few times. They had jay z last year,springseen this year. The exposure from the festival would be huge, and the ideal event 4 some guitar histrionics !!

We - the citizens of LightTown - we agreed with him back in 2002 that he will play eventually in the local Frits Philips Music Centre with an aftershow at the Effenaar. But we forgot to pick a date in our agendas...

The Effenaar is nice spot indeed. Not so big though. Intimate almost.

Prince did 21 main shows then scheduled to do 21 aftershows...now even he didnt make every aftershow, he only peformed for about half of them roughly and even when he did turn up there was a couple of times he didnt sing just strummed his guitar or was walking around the back of the stage. he's resting his voice etc.

I would rather have him do fewer intimate shows around the world with him in good health and alive and kicking thanks.

I don't think Prince promised he'd be there performing at them all, or even any of them! However, as time went on and he realised how important they were to his fans, and began to really enjoy them he did more and more. But I don't think it was anything to do with him not fulfilling or not being able to fulfill any obligations.

The hardcore fans could pay a lower fee thru the website, camp out, get a summer dorm room or one of those hotels where you pay a weekly "rent"(there are two of them here now)...and enjoy the Land of 10,000 Lakes all summer- or just come for a couple shows if that's all you want.

Alright, I'm almost done...he has more than 2 bands now, so why not perform with them all? He could go back and forth from style to style every night. The last night (at the new Target Field being built right now)...get them all together for a final blowout concert with George Clinton/PFunk, The Time, Sheila E, Larry, Rosie, Lenny, TTD. Now that would be a concert of a lifetime.
