Hallucination Rain has a violin in it ... I just plugged in Hallucination Rain and noticed immediately that a violin was part of the whole experience and it made me realize that Prince evidently toyed with violins some number of years prior to XPECTATION -- trippin' La, la, la

Wow, I noticed that the minute I first bought the Cd. It's also mentioned in the booklet. And hey, Raspberry Beret has a violin in it too. And hey, a lot of his music has strings in it. You should check out the unreleased 10+ minute version of
"Hallucination Rain". The violin solo in the album version is wonderful, but the one in this 10+ minute version is just amazing. It goes on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on... and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Dunno why, but Sonny's singing on "Hallucination Rain" irritates me. Also I find the song generally grates... especially the intro bit with the girl laughing and putting something in Sonny's soup. Not my favourite moment of Exodus. Great fucking album tho.
I guess I should get on with my life and stop thinking about it

in my "ever" so humble opinion I think that alot of people would pay top dollar to get their hands on some of this obscure stuff of Prince -- how many casual fans of Prince do you think even realize that he released Exodus and Goldnigga?
Why did WB try to kill these two albums is even more of a question in my mind... La, la, la

she did most of the strings in the 80's well HE actually started out by doing the Rufus & Chaka Khan sessions... :I: guess P. was inspired by joints like "Slow Screw Against The Wall" and he did Pieces Of A Dream's "We've already Said Goodbye..." 4 Spike Lee's "School Daze" soundtrack. CLAIRE FISCHER has been around 4 awhile. :I: pay homage 2 him on my new "A Journey In2 The RetroFuturistic" joint... Just ask your fellow ORGers who bought the album!!! :CD: Novi Novog, Vanessa Mae, CLAIRE Fischer, The Vault, whoever, the strings have ALWAYS been there but who takes the unlisted credit 4 the strings on "Baby" on the For You album? Mak187, yours is coming soon! 'dre Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!
