Its actually quite amazing how this has happened i dont think there r many artists who's appeal is different amongst the fams than it is to the general public! I totally prefer the second list!

U read my mind i was gonna include that but decided on empty room instead, i like it better!

It's not uncommon that anyone who gains mass commercial acceptance would eventually have hardcore fans who hold the less popular songs in higher esteem. Rolling Stones' fans generally dig "Satisfaction" less than other Stones' songs, Springsteen fans generally dig "Born In The USA" and/or "Dancing In The Dark" less than his lesser known songs. It's probably the same way for Michael Jackson fans. And I think it has more to do with familiarity breeding contempt than the quality of the song, most times.
