I have been thinking about this since last night when I saw this posting.
Anyway, there is no way I can pick ONE favorite track...the whole thing is just awesome. But a few standouts are Xenophobia, Strange Relationship (is there anthing funkier than Rhonda's bass on this track? I don't think so), Family Name, Everlasting Now, 2 Nigs, & Dorothy Parker . Prince is in TOP form on here!

im so tired of prince playing the same songs over and over, how many ways can u play take me with u.rasb.beret. i wanna b your lover. how come u dont call.enough of this. the ona has great sound but the same songs i have in i dont know how many versions. its all getting old and maybe he's played out, i dont know, but this space on the album could have been taking up by songs we dont hear, like songs from emancipation or chaos and disorder or even gold. is it that he only plays these particular songs because they are the only ones he and his group have mastered live? if so learn some more tunes. im disappointed in the ona live very sad, wanted so much more.oh well. maybe ttd can come with some new funk. stickman

All of it!
I haven't heard enough of it yet to decide, but xenophobia is seriously growing on me. DP reminds me of the Leno performance which I was dying to get a copy of after watching it. Peach, Girls and Boys I could listen too over an' over an' over an' over. 1+1+1=3, but I played that to death on the DOW CD. All of TRC tracks. I am off home now to listen again... Poor ONA piano has hardly had a lookin!

Good question - I'll have to go with Strange Relationship too. It's somehow the fullest sounding song for me. Also rans would be Avalanche and JIP. In general I love the first CD - the one apparently least favoured by the reviewers.
Have 2 say that I was dissapointed by the second cd. All the reviews raved about it - It all sounded so much better in London - the big hits RB and TMWY, were so uplifting at the gig, and the crowd participation was incredible, but on the disk they just sound a bit limp. The piano medley likewise didn't do as much for me as it seems to do for others - His voice is incredible on the snippet of ONA but then it loses it for a while. Beautiful ones was a full version when I saw the gig and really took off - but D&P is great when it comes in, but then likewise dissapears to quick. Starfish and Coffee, and How come... have both sounded much better in previous shows. The aftershow starts great, but then I miss the vocals - the voice is my favourite instrument, especially his, so I do miss it , but I like the disk none the less. Going back to my fave - SR, does anyone else feel that it is really grooving, and then he ups the tempo into WYWM, and loses the groove - I guess I am just greedy.

c.d 1 -xenophobia,1+1+1=3,strange relationship and avalanche
c.d 2 -everlasting now, adore(funny),i wanna b your lover(more funny) c.d 3 joy in repetition,2nigs,dorothy parker. i really love the full box. i can understand that some off don't want the same songs again.normaly we didn't have them (bootlegs). but its also a public release.and if there not a few songs on it that people can sing along with .it will not sell. and people who know only purple rain kiss, and lets go crazy.they are not really into prince annyway. its a fine mix between prince classics(not hits)and his new stuff. woekie woekie!!!

ONA - L! disk 2: Anastesia Beautiful song, beautifully executed. Honorable mention to "everlasting now" and "family name"

"IT'S ALL GOOD !" ~
But for me the MOST INTENSE track has to be ~ "When you were mine"...WHY ? I had the PLEASURE to be sitting in the 1ST ROW at the performance of this track, I looked up & PRINCE walked over to ME, winked & tore into the guitar solo as he was right above me -(on stage) WOW... Now immortalized in THE BOX SET. Fish

Hello??? There are plenty of new songs on ONA Live. And if you look at all set lists from the entire tour, they have rehearsed a big ass amount of songs.

This version is FUNKAY!!! Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Extraordinary Avalanche Joy In Repetition Dorothy Parker Muse 2 The Pharoah surprised me since the second part of it sounds a lot harder than the album version, which is a lot cooler. "and if the number 13..." damn. The guitar on this is very good. And "Anna Stesia" is cool too, altho the guitar sounds a bit tamed in this version. It was wilder in other shows. [This message was edited Mon Jan 6 4:56:07 PST 2003 by IstenSzek] Guitar on "Muse"? That's Prince's keyboard with a distortion pedal.
