Is it possible Xenophobia might have been saved for another project? Kinda like the way Madhouse 24 ended up?

Or do you think Xpectaion will be released at a later date as Xenophobia?


Listening to the soundcheck songs, It seems there may be a lot more funky jazz tunes to make up another album. What do you think?


I really dig Xpectation and hope to see more of this in the future. The soundcheck songs were even tighter.

I hope some of the soundcheck instrumentals find their way
onto an album in due time because they sure deserve to.

"Tokyo" and "Osaka" back2back make for a magical 11 minutes.

They're the first example of Prince music in a long long
time where I wouldn't have guessed it were Prince if I'd
only heard them without further explanation.

The sound is so thick and wet and the fx are so different
from the ones he usually uses; xotic birds, the monsoon.

Even the way the songs begin and end is un-princelike in
a way. I don't know exactly how to explain, but they sound
haunting in a very comforting way. Resigned perhaps.

5 out of 5 stars.

If a complete album of these kind of trax was in year 3's
package, I'd sign up right NOW.

I'm not one for these 19 track albums anyway. 40 minute
albums are just as cool.

is "Tokyo" sndcheck thetrack that starts off really mellow with P on piano & then the guitar solo kicks in at about 4:20 ?

havent played Xpectation yet that i got from Vince,gonna light a candle later 2nite & play it
