Was not my intention to cause anger when posting this clip. It was just something I found. I am also aware that there would be no Prince without JB, etc. I am also aware that Prince knows a lot about music including Fishbone (who he sampled on Billy Jack Bitch) and Jimmy Eat World, etc. Pepper7 I know how you feel. It seems nowadays there is either nothing left to discuss about Prince or that each time you try - you get attacked by a purple-kool-aid-drinker. I know - her attitude is really uncalled for and ruins it for everyone else. There's a lot of stuff I don't know. Shit, I'm too scared to say anything now incase she has a go at me too. I thought this was supposed to be a discussion forum, not a I-know-more-than-you-do forum..

Oh man. Well, yeah. I don't think you can deny the similarites , but basically it's just that "you don't have to be..." -opening line and the blues-y chord progression that got transferred to "Kiss". Well, okay... the horns sort of ended up being there too, and even in a more pronounced manner on some of the live renditions. Not that it makes too much of an impact on my ability to appreciate a musical piece. In fact, this would be an examplary case of exhibiting a healthy dose of creativity when ripping off someone else.  | |

He hasnt been convicted of any wrong doing. get your facts str8!! Prince did an interview with a woman at Record World. They talked about whatever, then he asked her: "Does your pubic hair go up to your navel?" At that moment, we thought maybe we shouldn't encourage him to do interviews. | |

However I feel they miss the point-prince takes others songs and almost uses them as an instrument as part of a bigger piece (I feel). This song however is depressingly similar.
