My theory has always been that Mayte's fax refers to Glam Slam Ulysses and not Come, and this adds fuel to my fire!! Surely would want to proudly boast of a project he recently completed??? Mayte's fax states the 'sequence' was completed two days before.
The word one titles don't quite match, but as I've stated previously Strays of the World could have been called just Strays etc. and /or these tracks weren't included in the sequence?? And What's My Name would have been called What...? 
Those tracks were included in the Glam Slam Ulysses sequence, so obviously "Mayte" wasn't talking about that one when (s)he said "all one-word titles."  nah, you don't really believe that do you? lol Why does What's My Name have to be included in the early sequences??? Your research tells you that around this time album sequences changed many times. This would make 11 March 1994 the first known Come configuration. | |

Yes, if you don't count the cassette from March 1993. I agree the former. By your narrative that cassette had no title - so just a collection of songs of the time IMO. Besides Glam Slam evolved into Come IMO, much like Dream Factory in2 SOTT, via CB. | |

This was changed to 'Solo' prior to release as WB considered 'Come' a strong contender for single and was planned as being released with 'Dark' as the B-Side (though I don't know if this was due to follow 'Space', or whether 'Space' actually replaced it). The information and corrections have now been added to the article and the appendix list of unreleased configurations.

too. The full length version is a good 2 or 3 minutes longer and includes a breakdown section, false end and extended instrumental end section. The information has now been added to the list of chronological Come recordings.

Just re-read Uptown#16 which has a photo of an insert for a Come CD-R, containing the 11 March 1994 config, but dated 25 March 1994. It states this is what Prince submitted to WB, I guess on the 25 March 1994.
If Letitgo was recorded on 16 March 1994 then it wasn't included on the Come album at that point. | |
