Strays vs Letitgo - I think both are pretty naff, but I'd say Letitgo was a better track IMO (even though I don't like it), Strays is uber-cheesy. | |

Nice job.
I disagree w/ some of your editorial comments about particular songs, but I love the attention to this album. Come works for me as a short, dark, funky, odd little under-the-radar kindof album. It's got a certain mood and vibe that I really like. I must be one of the few who is actually glad he removed the guitar tracks and held them over for TGE. I do like to add Pope and What's My Name to my version, and shorten the title track. But otherwise, I'm happy w/ the version that was released. It's definitely one of my most-played P albums. * * *

Mad props to Scififilmnerd and Co. for this thread. 
Fascinating insight into the various goings on during this time in Prince's career. The Come album always causes me to give serious thought to his state of mind when he recorded some of these songs. For instance, I can't describe my feelings the first time I heard Solo. So sparse, forlorn and heartbreakingly lovely that it damn near liquified my bone marrow. Excellent article, thanks a million for posting something of substance in this forum and I'm thrilled that there's more to come. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise. | |

But to have made it through, makes all the pain worthwhile. This was the soundtrack of the most devastating time of my life. Thank you Prince.I can only imagine the profound impact those songs must have had during that time of your life.
