Why dont a few people on here like interviews prince dose? I think any interview with Prince is a nice insite into his life.

I saw on here that afew people didnt like Opra interview for some reason or another. Not sure why?

He rarely gives a straight answer in his interviews and (especially the Tavis Smiley interview) the interviewer is busy kissing his butt. A lot of what he says are riddles and evasive. that's why I don't like his interviews, cause it seems to be some kind of game with him. It is not really an insight into his life at all.

^ yeah, Prince often avoids the most interesting questions...

Kurt Loder on MTV once asked Prince: "when will the material in the vaults get released"....

as a reply, Prince just whistled. He didn't answer the question.

I believe we have to guess the answer, "Not untill I'm dead"... sad

Grow up! That comment was totally ignorant, and irrelevant to this conversation. Don't you have anything better to do (like go to school?) err

I thought his last interview was most revealing. He mentioned to Tavis that negative words about him were hurtful and other parts of the interview I could relate to. However, does anybody remember when bryant Gumble asked him while Mayte sat beside him about the death of their baby? His response was so cryptic I didn't understand exactly what he was saying.
I do think he gives a lot of the reporters a hard time. Probably because the media can be so ruthless! I actually like this about Prince and find it amusing when he messes with them.

People just like to see Prince talk. They never pay that much attention to anything he says because it's all riddles and sneaky looks like he's REALLY figured some shit out and is waiting on the rest of us to go "Ohhh! I gotta figure it out cuz PRINCE knows it, and now I have to! Let's find the TRUTH!" He was mocked relentless on here about the fucking chemical trails, and everyone in his neighborhood was mad all the time. Pffft, whatever. They're in the hood, baby. It has its moments of not being a happy place. Prince talks, but nobody listens.

Except those fools who believed the $77 hype a few months ago, some of which never got a t-shirt still, and paid for the digital AND the Target version of the same album. They listened to Prince talk....before he ran off to the bank! hahahahahaha

I've never really liked Prince on interviews, he's so guarded that you never know what he's gonna say. He's too shy and he doesn't like to talk and it shows, Id' rather see him perform. biggrin

I love to watch Prince's interviews...He keeps me smiling...Prince just always has two sides to himself in my eyes...One is the musician that is always explaining his musical life and how he grew up into it, and the other shy side is always cute. cool

Do you remember his interview in Guitar World from '94 with prince on the cover? He mostly answered "yes" or "no"..if you compare that interview with another from Emancipation era, it's totally a step forward..even he doesn't answer all the truth.

I think Prince is very clever. Why tell all your life to the media?
