It's so sad and shocking at the same time.
Was he in so much pain that he wanted to go like Elvis or go out tragic like Judy Garland? If it was an accident will the family file suit against the doctor who injected him? In one Bio it said he wanted his death to be like his life: "The Greatest Show on Earth." MJ loved PT Barnum. It's very sad for his parents and his children and the whole family. I make up my own mind about Michael Jackson from what I've heard close friends say about him in interviews and my own observations. I think he was just an incredibly nieve, innocent man who had a damaged childhood and somebody wanted to take advantage of his innocence and millions.

Even though I don't consider myself a Michael Jackson fanatic, it made me very sad to learn about his passing.
I will never forget how aware he made people with songs like "man in the mirror", "black or white", "we are the world" or how he brought the greatest entertainers together for "USA for Africa". Nobody could unite people like Michael did. After all he was one of the first artists who was able to easily cross race lines. Michael was loved and accepted by all people all over the world. Everbody loved Michael and Michael loved everybody in return. What a humanitarian! Whatever demons he had to fight in his personal life, we don't have the right to judge him. I believe that God decided to take his tormented soul home, so he could finally rest in peace surrounded by God's everlasting love. All there is left for me to do, is to thank Michael for his music and his effort to love and unite people, and to pray for forgiveness whenever I was quick to judge him. love the one who is Love!

prince.org is overflown with Michael related threads Because a major musical icon died and Prince's career was sort of symbiotic with it. Is that so hard to understand? Did you state "why all the news coverage because some buildings fell" regarding 9/11?

I think that I am finally able to truly accept that Michael has left our world for the next. I believe that I have come to this acceptance because Michael Jackson will never really die. He may no longer be physically here, but his legacy will never fade away. The mark that he left on this world will shine bright until the end of days.
There will never be another like him. He will forever remain the only true King of Pop. Michael is now immortal. He will never grow old and never disappear from this world. He left soo much of himself here that I can no longer continue to be sad. Instead, I am overjoyed to have been able to experience the phenomenon of Michael Jackson. I just wish that the media would choose to respect his legacy instead of focusing soo heavily on the scandals that surrounded his personal life. I pray that they show more decency towards him, not just for the sake of his family, friends, and fans; but for the sakes of his three young children who just lost the most important person in their lives. Regardless of how many may still question his paternity, in this day and age, it has become very clear that any guy can make a baby, but only a real man can be a loving father. He was their dad and that image should not be tarnished in their eyes by anyone who chooses to be heartless, cruel, and judgmental. They have suffered enough pain, let them keep only precious, happy memories of their father. Out of respect for them, the negative aspects of his life should be placed on the back burner instead of at the forefront. Michael has been a part of the entertainment industry for close to 40 years. The fact that some people would choose to ignore 25 years of outstanding achievements and remarkable feats to dwell on less than 15 years of scandal absolutely sickens me. He was human and no human leaves this world completely innocent of any wrongdoings. He was not perfect; no one in this world is; and, the only one who has the right to ultimately pass judgement on him is God. I will let the Father do His job because Michael is now in His hands. Michael Joseph Jackson, you will be loved and forever missed; but, you will never be forgotten. Find true peace and soar with the angels. Prince Rogers Nelson

[There will be a time and a place to discuss ALL things MJ. This is neither. This is a place to offer your condolences. -Mars23] Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it. |

Understood. Due to the profession I'm in (I'm a pet nurse), I've come to understand that people mourn in such different ways. Some cry, some get angry with the quickness, some remain in denial, and some get over it very quickly and wish for others to do the same. I've cried already and now it's time for the healing to begin. The person may be gone, but the music is still here. In all honesty, I've always been someone who separates a celebrity's personal life from their professional life, but sadly, in this day and age, that has become harder and harder to do. I know that Michael brought alot of his problems on himself as most people in this world tend to do, but at the end of the day, I'm going to miss him because of the music and videos that he made more than the public persona that he had. I love Prince, but there are times when he'll do some things that make me want to slap the dog mess out of him, but at the end of the day, his songs will always remain unchanged and that's all I really care about in the end. I'm really hoping that his funeral and burial don't get dragged out and become a circus like Anna Nicole Smith's did. That was absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for on all levels. I never doubted the she was a gold digger and an drug addict, but those two aspects did not makeup all of who she was. With the terrible upbringing that she endured which turned into an even worse adulthood, I, to this day, feel sorry for that woman. When her son died, I believe that she died with him, because all her interviews after that don't seem like the same women that I saw on her show. She was heartbroken and no matter what terrible things she did in her life prior to that, nobody deserved the hand that she got dealt. She may have died from prescription pills (which is how I believe Michael died and won't be surprised when the results come in with that diagnosis); but, I believe that her heart and soul died when she had to bury her son and it was only a matter of time before her body followed. I was sad for her, but I'm even sadder that there is a little girl who will never know her mother and that's absolutely heartbreaking to me. No child should have to go through life wondering what their mother was really like, and with all the scandals that surrounded her, there's a possiblity that she'll only see the bad things that she did and not see the women who screamed, hugged, and refused to let go of her son's casket at his burial. My feelings are the same for Heath Ledger's and Brad Renfro's young children. No child should have to hear negative comments about their parents especially after that parent has died sos suddenly. I won't destroy their happy memories; I just can't no matter how much of an asshole their parent may have been; I won't tarnish an innocent child's memories. No celebrity is a saint just as no average joe is a saint. Rick James held a woman hostage and burned her with a crack pipe, but nobody brought that up at his untimely death. James Brown was no saint either, but their music was amazing and that's how I choose to remember them...as musicians who gave me the gift of great music. Prince Rogers Nelson

Jackson Family Issues Statement to Fans
The Jackson family issued a statement Saturday, conveyed by family patriarch Joseph Jackson. In full, it reads: "In one of the darkest moments of our lives we find it hard to find the words appropriate to this sudden tragedy we all had to encounter. Our beloved son, brother and father of three children has gone so unexpectedly, in such a tragic way and much too soon. It leaves us, his family, speechless and devastated to a point, where communication with the outside world seems almost impossible at times. We miss Michael endlessly, our pain cannot be described in words. But Michael would not want us to give up now. So we want to thank all of his faithful supporters and loyal fans worldwide, you – who Michael loved so much. Please do not despair, because Michael will continue to live on in each and every one of you. Continue to spread his message, because that is what he would want you to do. Carry on, so his legacy will live forever. In addition, Joseph Jackson wishes to personally convey: "My grandchildren are deeply moved by all the love and support you have shown for them and their father, Michael Jackson."
