EXACTLY!!! (only the first 10 times I heard it I was ready to puke... then started to grow on me) When Doves Cry is the best song ever existed! And KISS comes real close in the top5 for sure! The one I don't like much is Raspberry Beret - too dull for me. Not that I hate it, I'll just never choose to listen to it. Now I have to admit I've had an overdose of Purple Rain too... I usually only listen to my favourite part, the "honey I know, I know times are changin" cry, which breaks me every time. I am but mad north-northwest

Cream-cheap (can see why he wrote it) I always see this as the last song where Prince wrote a pop song where people bought it just for the song without any opinion of Prince

Now I have seen it all!!! When Doves Cry. Wow now that is something that took me by surprise to hear some say they don't like that song. I will admit that when it was released that the initial listen on the radio kind of threw me off cause of the singing in the lower range but then it hit me like a sack of bricks and I have loved that song ever since. Love it!!! Now Sister, not so much... | |
