Shockadelica Tribute Album

Some of these songs are cool, and some.... eek

With their accent, it sounds like retarded people singing Prince songs..

maybe Xenophobia is the album for you!
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

Yeah, This one is really hit or miss. But there are some really cool kick ass cuts on this one. I think it could have been paired down to one or two cds instead of five though. Definitely not worth the $50 some people paid for it. Some of the high points:

Nasty Girls - Has a sort of middle eastern instrument thing going on, vocals are a little annoying in spots 7/10

Paisley Park (Grande)- Cool fast version of Paisley Park. I really wish Prince would preform it in this style once or twice 6.5/10

The Holy River - Better than Princes version IMHO 7/10

Pop Life - Guys voice isn't great all the way throughout, but the horns on this track are REALLY good 7.5/10

Raspberry Beret- Awesome updated instruments on this track, and cool high pitch singing. One of the standouts of the whole set 9/10

I Would Die 4 U (Marius)- Cool sort of dance trance take on this P classic. If you don't like 'Rave' music you probably won't like it 7.5/10

TMBGITW - Great Cover except for the stars speech at the end is ruined by the singers heavy accent. 8/10

Strollin'- Nice duet. 7/10

ICNTTPOYM- Music sounds like it's straight out of the 50's. 6.5/10

Let's Go Crazy- Fast Paced techno. Not bad, but would be much better with Prince's old vocals over the same music 7/10

Girls & Boys- Rockabilly version of Princes funk workout. Maybe the best track on the whole album 9/10

Dear Mr. Man- Instrumentation is Awesome on this one. The song is RUINED by the singers stupid speech at the end. It's like he wanted to show off that he could speak English or something. Edit the end off then 9.5/10 otherwise 5/10

Some people are like Slinkies...

They're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

I think this version of "It" is pretty cool as well

I didn't mean anything offensive with my first post, but seriously, some of these people sound like they can barely speak English and it sounds awkward.. the vocals lack emotion because it seems they don't really know what they're even singing..
