I herd this song and it sounds alot like it came from the Sign O The Times era

I only thought that coz it sounds like 'Its Gonna Be A Beautiful Night'

I love this song, and wanted to see if anyone knew anything about it?

It was given to Kid Creole and the Coconuts. Sounds like the same instrumentation as Prince's.

There's a SOTT rehearsal bootleg that has Prince teaching the band the song. Once they get it down and play it through, it's funky as hell.

Written in July 87, Prince then promised Kid Creole that he could have it after they met in 88. When Prince delivered the song Creoles album 'Private Waters In The Great Divide' had already been finished but his record company liked the song so much that they delayed it's release so that it could be included and it was finally released on April 3rd 1990

He should have kept this one for himself, soooo awesome

i just heard this for the first time yesterday. on my ipod shuffle. i love it! the vocal delivery and tone is so unique!

I think it's called Sign O The Times rehearsals. One set has rehearsals for "Baby A Go-Go", and the other has "The Sex Of It". Both include run throughs of the show. One of them has Sheila and Bonnie talking in funny voices about "who's your drug dealer?" or something like that. Pretty funny.
