I think most of the Grafiti Bridge cuts are and a lot of them have already been mentioned here before but the standout track is :

Elephants and Flowers

It has a much rockier edge than the released version and different lyrics. It's just great, pity it is curt short sad. If there is one track I'd like to leak out it's the full version.....

BTW: I think the released version is still one of the standouts tracks on GB

Days Of Wild (studio rather than the love 4 one another version)
Empty Room (strings i'll do anything version)
Computer Blue (11 minutes hell yes)
The Dance Electric
Old Friends For Sale
Crystal Ball (a magnificent piece why cut a second out of it)
Something In The Water

Was it the one with the extra lyrics by George Clinton?

And there are several versions of We Can Funk. I wonder which one are the above posters talking about.

My fav version starts off with Prince counting and then the Prince scream.

That's the one I was referring to, and I'm fairly certain it's the one Danny meant as well.

I prefer the bootlegged version of "Joy In Repetion" to the edited one on "Grafitti Bridge".

Seriously? There really isn't much difference, aside from the long drum intro.

and that drum intro has so much feeling and emotion 2 it, i wish he would have kept it like that..

From "Yellow"

Don't Say You Love Me, Spirit, Martika's Kitchen & Love, Thy Will Be Done all were released & performed by Martika on her album "Martika's Kitchen"

Open Book was released & performed by Jevetta Steele on her self titled album.

Sex was a b-side to the Scandalous Sex Suite and also covered by Lois L. on their album "Precious". (This album alson included the Prince track "Qualified".)

Five Women was performed by Joe Cocker on his album (not sure of the title of this one.)

The Voice as we all know was released and performed by Mavis Staples on the cd of the same name.

I Wonder, Player, Schoolyard, Uh Huh!, Get Blue, never recieved official releases to my knowledge.

Carmen on Top & Power From Above both performed by Carmen Electra & the NPG never got released either.
(I think these 2 tracks were from here scrapped 2nd cd, she mentioned working on new music in an interview with Playboy.)
(Also, I always believed "Power From Above" was an outtake from the Batman days, it's often shouted out during Batdance and the vocal of it "hey we got the power..." is identical to that on Batdance.)

I've seen several versions of We Can Funk. One that I really enjoy is the one that segues from Can't Stop This Feeling I Got. Not sure how similar or different it is to other versions (coz i havent heard them all) but i absoultely love it and think its a lot better than the one on GB.

Yes, I love that sequencing as well! I have it on The Royal Jewels. "And if that don't work. (Yeah, what?) 2,3,4 Owah!!" Then into the original "We Can Funk". It's a little faster on that boot. The one on the work is a little slower.

I have to disagree about Tick, Tick, Bang. I like the fact that the GB version has a funk beat, instead of that fast sexuality like beat. I think sexuality would have been better with same music, but with a funk beat.

To me it's a toss up on that one. I always did like the GB version. And for 20 years I never knew there was an "original" version until this year. And I really like that one as well...That's a hard one to decide for me...

Get Blue was recorded by Louie Louie on his "Let's Get Started" album.

I've forgotten all of the Prince tracks on it, but "Get Blue" and "Dance Un2 the Rhythm" were P songs.

1. Let's Get Started Listen
2. Thought of It Listen
3. Walk With Me Listen
4. Get Blue Listen
5. Brother Louie Listen
6. You're So R & B Listen
7. Too Much Pressure Listen
8. All I Do Is Toss & Turn Listen
9. All in One Breath Listen
10. Dance Unto the Rhythm Listen
11. Aggression Listen

These aren't really...comparable. One's a live jam, the other a studio song. The live one does work up some serious momentum, but it's a bit too much noodling as well. I can't say I usually get all the way through the track.
