I wish Prince would have made more songs like this one...

(Obviously he won't be doing that any time soon, however, that doesn't mean I can't dream. )

It's just so moody and dark, almost menacing. There is nothing "pop" about it.

What does everyone else think about this?

What U have posted is interesting ernestsewell.

I never really though of, "Had U," as a song although whenever Prince is talking I love to hear his voice. I've always liked this.

I love that song it's just not long enough, when you get into it, it goes off...

love this song!

I just took the song as being a description of a relationship from beginning to end. Courtship to ending in a bad way. The duality of his relationship with a girl or with Warner Bros makes the song very interesting. The song being at the end of the album and being as short as it is always reminded me of "Her Majesty" from The Beatles Abbey Road Album, short and sweet, a kind of after-thought if ya will.
