Anyone play the Sonic games on XBox or such like?
Tell me The Morning After doesn't sound like some of the music from those games at the start..... So look into the mirror, do u recognise some1? Is it who u always hoped u would become, when u were young?

I think it's a royalty issue. Prince doesn't own the publishing and it's easy to account from the physical CDs. He doesn't want anyone to have a slice of the $77. I'm hot and I don't care who knows it...I got a job to do.

It truly is a fucking tragic decision not to include the lead single on the download album. And no-one knows where it fucking goes when we do get it! Before the new song? After the new song? It essentially means there is two different running orders for this album, and as a sad bastard who loves albums intended as a whole artistic statement where everything is preceicely placed and structured by the artist, I am slightly in awe of the boldness of Prince's fuck-you here. Absolute awe.

Absolute awe. it is indeed almost beyond comprehension. i started several threads about "boom" cutting short before i figured out just now that it is supposed to segue into "crimson and clover" since the guitar sound on both is almost identical in parts. they will flow into one another amazingly well. yet, for some disturbing reason, prince just yanks it off the net release at no doubt the last minute and replaces it with this new song that is a) nowhere near as good as crimson and clover and b) messes up the flow since it doesn't glues as well with the end of "boom". we'll have to wait for the retail version to hear that for ourselves but i've just heard from someone who has heard the retail version, that it indeed segues beautifully into "crimson and clover". damn damn damn. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

I really like The Morning After but agree Crimson will fit better. The only thing on here that I'm not down with is 77 Beverly Park. It starts off really well, then descends into, I don't know what. Much too mellow for this album imho. I think I'll maybe burn a copy without this and put The Morning After in it's place. Or maybe it'll grow on me, but at the moment it seems totally out of keeping with the rest of the album. RIP

I think I'll make a copy of the album with 4ever deleted and replaced with Crimson & Clover.

I think it's a royalty issue. Prince doesn't own the publishing and it's easy to account from the physical CDs. He doesn't want anyone to have a slice of the $77. That's exactly right. Same thing happened with Tori Amos when she released her "official bootlegs" from her last tour. None of the shows where she did covers were included. * * *

Yup, she released shows from her 2007 tour in support of American Doll Posse. Initially they were available only from her website, but they are now on iTunes and amazon.com's download store. (and they are terrific - with the full band. Much better than the 2005 shows IMHO). Unlike the 2005 shows, these didn't get a physical CD release (that i'm aware of). [Edited 3/25/09 6:07am] * * *

Question: is it supposed to be Feel Good, Feel Better, Feel Wonderful
or Feel Better, Feel Good, Feel Wonderful. It seems strange the order in the title would be different than how they are sung in the song. Could it be an error in the tagging on the downloads? Especially considering they didn't bother to plug in the artist and album title for Elixer or Lotusflow3r (at least on my downloads) [Edited 3/25/09 6:13am] * * *

I just finished listening to Lotusflow3r, the 1st of the 3 and this album is GREAT, no lie. It's very organic in sound and the consistancy in this album is great. I aree with the other in that I think that C&C will very well if not better on LF. I'm really feeling Boom, Feel Good, Feel Better, Feel Wonderful, $, Dreamer and ...Back 2 the Lotus. It's very focused and it just works. This was based on one listen but this is a CD that deserves to be played many times to really feel it. That's one of the times that I would compare this to another CD like TRC. It's a great piece of work and a great way for me to prepare for my Birthday which is tomorrow! I can't wait to hear the rest of the CD's! I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

i love it very much too. it's like a mix between the organic sound of TRC but with the loose funk n roll feel of The Gold Experience. def an album that will be very rewarding in the times to come. sounds at leat a hundred times better than "planet earth" on first and second listen. now i just want crimson and clover in the same soundquality to put on it as well and make it even more brilliant. top 10 album for sure once crimson and clover is included. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps
