It depends on what you will get for 77 USD IMO.

Will it be the three new albums (12 bucks at Target) and a handfull of video's and some outtake-material, then i would say: expensive.

But if he offers, lets say: 20 streams of concert material, and dozens of 'new' songs to download, then its a right prize.

A concert has a fixed one off price and it's planned months in advance...it's a one off fixed cost and has a large number of people...

A website is not the same it's based on quantity over a perod of time ...prince will not get the quantity if the price is $77 / £54 for one year ...he'll only create a blackmarket / bootleg market for his work...

There are other new details, as well. Prince will perform "multiple times," in different locations around Los Angeles, on March 24, though those performances will not be streamed or recorded for the site...

I wonder if that means he'll do a hit'n'run tour of various Target stores in the LA area on the 24th??

That's not a bad price considering some artists charge more for separate fan levels. I'm surprised Prince doesn't have a VIP fan section for those who would get extras for paying a little more.
