Seriously, it won't take a few years. It'll take me a few weeks to suss out whether or not the hype is to be believed. Like I said, we've been here before with Prince, and I'm not alone in feeling wary of his online ventures. Hey c'mon GNS.. nothing lasts forever, so when the site launches, and however long the duration is, we'll just have to enjoy what we can get out of it during its lifetime. Come on and join the party. You won't know what's going on unless you're in. I doubt we'll be eatin crow if the site shuts down after a year. We'll just be sharing memories of it with one another and who knows what Prince's next venture will be.

I can't wait till the 24th. I've been a fan since 1981, when I saw P, dressed in bikini underwear, thigh high boots, leg warmers and a trench coat, get nearly booed off the stage at the LA Coliseum, when he opened for the Stones at the Sunday show, and I'm not about to get off the boat now. | |

It might also be a yearly fee but I choose to be a part of it cause I am a Prince fan who wants to have as much stuff as I can get. It's too soon to write it off as so many of you are doing. Maybe some fans will be given first dibs at tickets and great concert seats, even if it is just a hand full. I don't think $77.00 is much to ask for. Fans wanted him to have a website and it takes money to maintain one. There's people to pay. The fans basically demanded he have a website and we got one. The 3121 site was free, and although it lasted for the period of the 3121 era, now he's putting a site together that may feature much of what his fans constantly request. May not be all many hope to see, but at least the site in itself was created with fans in mind or else what would be the point in having one? Any of you who have unofficial product need to STFU about any of his pricing, and pay the man for his work. I've NEVER once bitched about the price of anything of his, even privately, I have no right to...
I always buy multiple copies of official CDs/DVDs, buy the merch at concerts/sites, donate(d) $$ to L4OA and his associates' charities. It still isn't 'right' to have unofficial stuff, but at least I try to compensate him in other ways. | |
