and people should b aware that this is probably the last time u c prince on late night tv cause i really can't c him doing conan ..maybe jimmy fallon if he's still around due 2 the roots being the backing band but i highly doubt he will do late night tv again after this ..

my only hope for the shows is that prince sits at the couch and chats up the new album a little bit. part of it is because i hope he announces some big new plans for this year, and part of it is just because it's fun watching him banter with leno, and it's been way too long since we've seen prince goofing off and talking smack on TV.

as 4 other discussions on y leno over letterman, the reason really is simple, NBC's the 2night show has always shown love 2wards the mpls sound over letterman (the time, sheila e, patti labelle) have been on that show numerous times. not 2 mention, hate 2 say this but it's true, the 2night show will feature more r & b acts more than letterman would. and the last nail in the coffin should take in2 fact that letterman had that cover band purple reign on where they were selling a dvd that wasn't authorzied by prince. big

i'm just hoping that prince does a new song from each album instead of doing some old hit song

Oh I thought Jay was retiring. I always fall asleep waiting for the musical guests to perform on these late night shows, since on the East Coast, it around Jay's show doesn't air until about 11:37pm, and the musical guests don't perform until around 12:33am.
