I'm sorry, but humour and /or publicity R just not good enough reasons 4 this "announcement" from Dr F.

It's not funny in the slightest, and Prince has a much better sense of humour than that... UNLESS it's payback time 4 Prince in a sinister way... everyone scrambles online 2 find the leaked song, but the internet is just a Black Hole, remember?

If it were 4 publicity, it would've been just as effective 2 simply report that Prince was working on a new video 4 the new song, "$".

The whole thing is ridiculous, even with an open mind, and no expectations.

Folks R naturally upset over this.

WHY?

Because, if you've been a Prince fan 4 a long time, U were used 2 Prince doing things his own way, which was unique, bold, unorthodox, and at times puzzling.

These Prince fans grew up with this, and now, they R getting... "Prince attends this, Prince attends that", "Prince was spotted having a Martini", "Prince is upset because he thinks his new song was leaked"...

...and 2 top it off, they're getting it from a damn gossip site, which would've been unfathomable before.

Believe me... I just care about the music... the songs... the new material... but even I have become less interested in checking the ORG or Lotusflow3r lately. I care about Prince's well being 2, but wasting my time reading about a leak that did or didn't happen doesn't appeal 2 me personally.

the worst thing about all this is that folks are rummaging thru those torrent sites looking for a potentially leaked song and will probably only come up with OTHER illegal tracks
