Dr FB: Purple Ticket Winners At Prince’s Pad Talk Source: www.drfunkenberry.com
As stated earlier, a few purple ticket winners partook in an evening at Prince’s pad in the Hills for a sneak peek at the new lotusflow3r.com website. Here’s a sampling of their impressions of the site’s inner workings: Absolutely breathtaking. Exploratory, fun and interactive. I can’t wait to get into it and explore all the things about it. Playful. Engaging. The (video) quality will be a fan’s dream and of the evening in general, all were in harmony saying it was an experience they’ll never forget. (We hear that the people at the house party were able to see what the web site will be looking like soon in all it’s glory. Stay tuned and we want to thank the purple ticket winners and others for sharing this with us.-Dr.FB

What's the chance of a person who doesn't post at housequake or prince.org 1) knowing about the lotusflow3r site 2) signing up and 3) winning? Zero. Obviously, a "plant" or two won the "CONtest." Sounds like they invited 3 of the former purple ticket winners who attended the purple ticket contest in 2006 during the release of the 3121 album

I think it's more likely that they just looked through their registrations to see who was from LA (so they wouldn't have to pay travel expenses and could do it at the last minute, thereby reducing the possibility of any leaks) and issued the invites that way. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Did you register with location? Wasn't it just name and email address? Aka Mister T at moquake.com

Did you register with location? Wasn't it just name and email address? You don't think he still has his NPGMC list (which had names and addresses)? It'd be nothing to do a quick crosscheck. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

An orger attended. Wether this person wants 2 share is up 2 them. But it is a person who posts on the semi-regular and is known.
My main thing is, how did they know the winners lived in L.A. since no location was asked when registering on the new site and that was where the winners were picked? Did they maybe search the email address on say facebook or myspace and see who was in L.A.? Regardless, I have known this person 4 a while and I am glad this person won, and I do hope this person shares the experience soon. It is up to this person. Silence Speaks A Thousand Words.

Not too good and not too bad.

If people can recall... quite a few members stated that no matter which e-mail address they used when they entered the info on the ticket... it said 'they were in the system'. Odda are the site was recording IP address, a very simple and typical thing to do. A common example of this is when you go to web sites and they always seam to have advertisements which reflect your geological location. [Edited 2/1/09 10:52am]

BTW, just found out ALL 3 winners were orgers. 2 of the baddest cats I know won and one cool ass feline as well.
A review is being written right now and this person is taking their time 2 get every nook n cranny in there. I am very happy 4 all 3 winners. Slightly envious, but still extremely happy some real fans got 2 go. [Edited 2/1/09 10:56am] Silence Speaks A Thousand Words.

What I want to know is when the press that was at the thing last night is going to write about the new site. That's when we'll get some real information. They should know who with and when the CDs will come out, when the site will publicly launch, etc.
