I am rather tired of folks like Dr. Funkenberry and Graycap, who seem to think they are benefitting from riding and playing along with Princes' ego.

They seem to think it gives them some mystique, status or something, while they just let themselves being used by someone who acts to stubborn and eccentric for his own good, lol.

With Funkenberry I often get the idea he is blind to the fact that his so called 'scopes' arent real scopes at all. And when it comes to Prince, he has the tendency to turn any 'fart' of the little man from Minneapolis into some groundbreaking event.

Why don't we get the information from Prince or the Prince-camp directly? Why always that tiresome cryptical 'spilling' by 'The artist'.
I mean, for godsake, Prince is a 50 yo man, and he still uses the tactics he used when he was 20: keep it vague, let people guess, create an enigma. Well, that might work fine for people who are actually that age, but (and now I speak for long-time fans, who grew up with his music) for someone like me, 35 now, it turns annoying and irritating.
To make it more concrete: it feels i grew up during that period, and 'he' is still using the same old worn out tricks.
If the new music was splendid, it would offer some compensation. But unfortunately....

Oh, I grew up with P's music too. Hell I wasn't in Kindergarten yet when I became a fan but his "cryptic" way of speaking doesn't bother me. I still enjoy the mystery and the enigma. I get what you're saying that you want him to speak to you in a normal way and that wouldn't be horrible but I like that Prince is still unusual at 50 years old. Everybody is still the same, P is still unique. What's garbage to you is treasure to someone else.

Trying 2 predict what Prince is going 2 do, and when, is nearly impossible. It can't even be based on what he says, and that does not make him dishonest or manipulative. He is genuinely mercurial, and that's all there really is 2 it.
