I'm on both.

I'm more comfortable there, but spend more time here.

It's much easier 2 be more comfortable there, because it is far more friendlier... a bit more respect going on there.

Again, I spend more time here at the ORG though.

I feel what you are saying, but I must say one thing. I am actually hopeing for a fan site, like we had at one time.
My personal experiences were great! I got front row seats to one concert by knowing when it was going on sale to the "club members."
I also got 4th row seats the same way, via NPGMC.
I got music that people outside of the club did not get. (not legally anyway).
And I also got little things in the mail from time to time. I also loved the online store where I could purchase gear and so forth.
So, anyway. I hope it will turn into a site similar to that and I would be glad to pay the $77.00 (if that is a reference to the price).[/quote]

I SOOOOO agree with the statement above. I really liked the NPG web site.
I too was able to purchase AWESOME seats to 6 shows. 3rd row 2nd row and even
1st row 2 times. smile I NEVER would of been able to get those off
say ticketmaster.... mad
I think it would be well worth a member ship fee IF we were
gonna get special perks like that.. Plus I loved the "Store" too
I got some neat stuff from there.
SO COME ON PRINCE!!!! GIVE US WHAT WE WANT HONEY!!!! wink

I'm on both. I'm Purplebomb on HQ. I will say I am slightly more comfortable here than on HQ but I was on the org 5 years longer than I was on HQ.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

I'm really disappointed in the way he has conducted that new site.. regardless of what happens. He put a date on a ticket and put LA on it.. as if there were a concert. Now lets say people wanted to plan ahead and come from out of town, they pretty much can't now.

Even worse, it's not a concert and just the opening of the site... ugh

Well it is a bit irritating right now, over at Housequake. I mean DJ7 and the mod don't have 2 reveal their sources, but they could at least be reassuring folks that it is official word and not hearsay.

With all due respect, this is not life and death here. Either what they say on HQ will come true or it won't. The truth will come out soon enough.

A lot of what I have seen going on... and is usually the case... is that 'we' fans get 'ourselves' all worked up over every step Prince may or may not take. We get then disappointed when things don't happen... and start pointing fingers instead of blaming ourselves for getting all over hyped in the first place.

I mean come on... people were counting points of light and things for Jezuz sake. I enjoy discussing what goes on and optimistically, I anticipate good things. But as has been mentioned by a few others... 'come what may'

And off topic

*cough* *cough*.. bullshit!

More respect goes on as long as you conform to the way of thinking of 'certain' Mods and don't stir the waters. Let's just say they have different ways of treating different members.

But I'm sure you're referring more so in regards to the actual members themselves... most of whom I have the utmost respect for. I am friends and/or associates with many... but almost all of them are either members of The Org as well... or keep in touch via MySpace and other minor locations.

Talent + Warner Brothers.

I wouldn't say most musicians have business sense. but when they get out on their own it seems it's apparent they lack it. Prince doesn't seem to have one ounce of business sense.

We just want to buy the music (and live tickets). That is all. There is no need for a club for that.

Okay, brace yourselves because I'm about to get TOTALLY fammy here:

IMHO, Prince's websites crash and burn because he focuses on moment du jour and not "Prince" as a whole.

IMHO, it has always been a quirk of his to not want to focus on himself when he is front and center stage and many of us do just that, whether is his looks or his music or both.

IMHO, the NPGMC was, shall I say, an experiment in online distribution, but not really a place to celebrate the fabulousness that is Prince, past, present and future.

IMHO, lotusflow3r.com is "A whole new universe", again not a place to celebrate the fabulousness that is Prince.

IMHO, this quirk of Prince's keeps his websites from taking off. Instead of being great, fun informative sites, they are tools of the moment and when the moment has passed, they are tossed aside...."like an old glove."

twocents
I'm firmly planted in denial
