I found this today. I'd seen the original broadcast, but hadn't had the chance to see it since then.

Truly a fantastic performance, and y'know, the more I hear Fury, the more I realize it's a fantastic, classic Prince song. Good, strong music, fantastic chorus, great singing, and live - man, it just owns us all live. His guitar work on this video is wonderful.

AND, you know...if you actually think the big, bad Prince image machine hasn't done exactly what I did - go to Google, type in PRINCE SNL VIDEO, and find this video, then you're not nearly as clever as you think you are.

It's the first link that shows up, genius. Not exactly a huge secret that no one can find. Not something that took hours of digging. You've gotta' realize, some people don't *care* about copyrights or requests from Prince.

I wish Fury had been on Lotus Flower with the guitar turned up high in the mix. He really, really blew it with this song in the studio.

I prefer the version he did at the Brit awards but the SNL performance is amazing.
